I mean, I did want a defensive player but every time that I looked at how the first round might fall, I ended up with a WR being the BPA by a mile. I always figured that it would be Ruggs or maybe Jeudy. I never ever expected Lamb to get anywhere near Dallas’ pick.

I think Lamb is about one of the top 5 guys in this draft.

He had to be the pick. Dallas would be getting Lambasted (pardon the pun) had they not taken him at 17.

The Dallas Cowboys now possess a starting trio of wide receivers that is the envy of every other NFL team. With Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb lining up against opposing defenses in 2020, a Cowboys’ offense that ranked second in the league in passing yards last season has suddenly got even better.

The video feed on the player isn't in sync with when the pick is announced, so that has a lot to do with the lack of reaction. They didn't show Chase Young celebrating being picked #2 overall for what seemed like 4-5 minutes after the pick was announced.

True. Young was also drafted by the skins. Lol so who knows if he celebrated at all. LOL

You almost wonder if we'd have talked ourselves out of taking Lamb if the draft were being held like normal.

Maybe the fact that we had to have a plan in action. If one of our top players fall, we take him.

LIKE I BEEN SAYING. MM HAS A BPA APPROACH. He never wavered. It was the right pick. Now in round 2...safety or BPA.

Great pick. Kellen is drooling. Dak is drooling. Zeke is drooling. The defense is drooling. Would have never imagined Lamb would fall to #17. Just goes to show that most teams draft for need. I’m not against that as you need to do what makes your team better. Just worked out great for the Cowboys.

...but one still shouldn't speed on the 35 N bridge, above 55, getting to go see the Cowboys in the future.

Please stop

SOS! JJ is still large and in charge. Looks like we got another puppet for a HC. McKinney and Chaisson sitting right there to help on a D that’s been awful for years and JJ goes for the splash pick. We’ll never win anything!

So now we have a first round running back and two first round wide receivers for a Qb that is supposed to be elite. Brady never needed a stacked supporting cast like this, not to mention the first rounders on the offensive line.

So much conjecture that we have elite talent at the Qb position, but so little evidence to support that. Laughable , yet tragic
