I could dig that. I'd really like a DL in there though. But Diggs and Burgess are solid.

Maybe get lucky and Fotu is there in the 4th?

This would be a nice draft, but they absolutely need more help at DT. They probably have to take Diggs if he is there at 51, but as much as I like Burgess if one of the DTs falls to them, they have to take him, IMO. Since they signed Dix, I don't think they need to take a safety right away unless he is the clear BPA. Guys like Tanner Muse, Brian Cole, Jordan Fuller and Julian Blackmon should be available 4-7. Anyone they draft will probably be a backup to Woods and Dix - unless its McKinney or Delpit.

I agree they need help at DT. But who is the odd man out? I just don’t see it

Mccoy / Hill
Poe / Woods

Crawford is extra help. Not saying they can’t or won’t upgrade the depth. But cutting Hill or Woods may not be in the cards

Do you trust Hill?

Agree on DT, its also an area where you can add a lot FA on a pillow contract for depth.

I really thought Chaisson was the pick but he wouldn't have taken all the RDE snaps even if he was the pick. We really don't know the status of Smith and Gregory but its possible the team is way more confident in those two taking half the snaps next year than the fans think right now.

It’s a mock that goes like this that I wonder what would be the cost to get Delpit at the end of the 2nd.

I like Delpit but whatever CB we take at 51 is likely a day one starter. Burgess is a guy that will start in his second year and might replace Clinton-Dix half way through his rookie year. I see your point, but I would go with these two guys instead.

I'd be happy with that.
Seems like a lot of good players still on his predicted boards.
Diggs, Blacklock, Gallimore, Delpit, Dugger, Fulton, Okwara, Madubuiki, Davis, Hennessy, Dantzler, Burgess, Hall, Elliot lots to choose from.

Question, if the board fell as he predicts in rds 2 and 3, would you take his picks or is there another combo you'd take instead?
Delpit & Hall?

If Fulton, Delpit, Diggs, Gallimore, Davis, Blacklock, and Madibuike are ALL still available when Dallas picks at 51, that would be amazing!
Any of them works.
Can't believe that he thinks Higgins--possibly the next Plex Burrus--will still be there at 62. Dane's off on that one.

Diggs would be a very good pick at #51.

I've heard Burgess linked to the Cowboys (maybe they met with him) but he does not seem to fit the mold of what I would expect them to draft.

Burgess (5-11, 202, very short arms).

They definitely liked Abrams last year and he was only 5--11, 205; however, Abrams looked more muscled up with a bigger frame and likely came to the combine light to run a good forty.

Burgess played near the line in the games I reviewed but his size and lack of length will make that difficult in the NFL.

He has good coverage skills and should project to FS but I didn't see him playing single-high in college.

It seemed obvious last year that they really wanted a SS type.

Burgess’ best fit would be slot CB.
