Definitely. He was amazing in his prime but that disease robbed him of his prime early unfortunately

I admire him totally for giving it a go last year. He did what he had to do, can't fault him for it at all. He had standards and knew it was not realistic. Pretty admirable at the end of the day.

Great job to McCarthy who really took an ignored position and transformed it. You realize the horrendous job they've been doing for years at DT, cause in 2 months it's night and day. A huge disservice to this D. Not saying they're great. I'm saying this situation is very different from the usual crap they been pedaling for a long time now.

This!!!!! Must read!!

The crazy part is if they beat the Eagles, Garrett and Marinelli are still here and there's no Poe, no McCoy, no Gallimore and hoping for the best from Hill. lol Killing this team for years and years,

Maybe, inadvertently, we got one over on the Eagles by losing that game. They may have struck us down last season, but we've become more powerful than they could have possibly imagined.

 Here we go again
Every year the DL is “Stacked” .

here’s the truth :

we have Lawrence and McCoy

and the rest are very average players, and two potheads.

go back and look at last years Our DL is so stacked threads it was embarrassing. Guys were talking up Hyder like he was strahan and Jelks like he was Jason Taylor. Absolutely embarrassing. The depth at DE on this team is almost embarrassing.

Fred was not all that last season, he was clearly nowhere near his probowl self, which is why he retired. It’s not like we are trying to replace his 2016 version
Tyler Biadasz would make for a nice addition on Day 3.

It's debatable how much better the D-line is if at all.

They essentially lost Quinn and added McCoy and Poe (if you consider Collins and Gallimore a wash). Quinn is a much more impactful player than either of those guys.

Don't agree at all. They went from having one decent interior presence in Collins to three with McCoy, Poe (above average at collapsing the pocket and surprisingly nimble for a 350lb tank) and Gallimore, and interior pressure and collapsing the pocket is how you beat a guy like Mahomes or Rodgers, whereas guys like Quinn are nullified often if the QB has a clean pocket to step into.
Now I would have loved to have Quinn back on the right deal, but that just wasn't happening...

Quinn had a far bigger "impact" in the opposition's favor when they ran the ball........................He is an enormous liability on running plays.

So. You act like that's a bad thing.

He can't play 1Tech.

Heck, he can barely play 3Tech.

He needs to add weight to play it, but don't know where else to put him. He's going to be on the bubble and the question is if he's going to get motivated or dejected. It will be telling whether if the Raiders pick him up or not after.
