Got 13 sacks, 14 TFL, 1 FF last year.
I'll take that kind of production in the 5th rd.

He is not the greatest athlete, but watch him in the Senior Bowl, if you don't think he can make this team.
He BEAT UP guys that got drafted much higher than him.
I would not be surprised at all to him see him starting at SAM/DPR THIS year.
I would have been very happy to get him in round 3.
Not that high on Anae as a prospect, but if you can potentially add some juice to your pass rush in the 5th thats a good use of a pickSolid pick.
I mean there is not much to quibble about with regards to our picks. I wasn't a big fan of the CB in the 4th but he's a freak athlete and they like to take chances on those guys.
In hindsight 2016 was great, but we didn't know what we had in Dak at the time. Lots were disappointed in Jaylon Smith pick. Our best draft since 2016 ?
not bad. Would of love to found a guy with some speed at DE but he was productive.
He can stand up and rush. But thats all he is doing from a stand upNo he’s a pass rush technician. No coverage skills. Minimal bend, but excellent with hands and nonstop motor.
40 is bad but 10 yard is very very goodAnae looks like the classic case of "watch the tape and not the stopwatch". There are plenty of examples of a DE that plays much faster than their timed speed.
I can't believe it. Every single pick outside of Lamb & Diggs could have gone at least one, possibly 2 rounds higher.
And plenty of people had a 3rd round grade on this guy Anae. Sometimes the draft just comes to you. Jerry is also seems to be listening to McCarthy about these picks.
He's gonna get a few "roughing Carson Wince" penalties
No wonder they drafted Hurts
He fell because he has short arms and ran a slow 40.
Who cares? This guy is a helluva football player.
And that's been the problem in the past. We've learned to look at late picks as throw away picks under Garrett and Marinelli.Brugler had him as the 9th best Edge and we got him for a throwaway pick.
Could he play strong side linebacker?
I mean, it might depend how Nolan looks at him and what he plans to do defensively. If we're gonna implement 3-4 fronts, it's not hard at all to slot the kid into a LB roster spot and easily pencil him onto the roster assuming he shows up looking anything like what we expect.who is his competition?? Joe Jackson?
