Plus, there are a lot of packages he could fit into as the 3rd safety, plus, if the transition worked, he could be extended and step into a starting role when Dix is gone.

He's absolutely your #1 cb. And no it would not work. He cannot tackle. It's not a real idea. Mccarthy was not referencing chido..multiple reporters have already confirmed it's Robinson..

I didn't say it was Chido, I just said it's not as outlandish as you make it. As for "multiple reporters", how many? lol. And how many times to reporters speculate and we find they are wrong. I prefer to wait until McCarthy of someone else in the organization says so directly rather than trusting what reporters say.

I was thinking that when we picked him. A FS who could challenge deep balls like a WR. Big. Long arms. On very limited tape, he looks very natural defending deep balls.

Maybe relevant, maybe not, but if you look at the roster on the DC.com site they list a position for every player except Robinson. His is blank and he shows up in a separate category at the end after the RFA and FA players.

lol, that's hardly the equivalent of saying Robinson will be looked at as a safety, or he is the only CB on the roster that could play safety. Besides, he was just making a comment about a specific draft pick, and McCarthy was talking about the overall picture when he said they have several CB's that could play safety.

That said, sure, if they consider converting someone it may be Robinson, but, again, I never said otherwise, nor did I say they would consider Chido. I just said converting Chido isn't as outlandish as you indicated. It all depends on how they feel the personnel best fits and who can fill what needs.
