Or maybe we carry 3 QBs. That may make sense. But I think he'll beat Rush.
Real competition. Not that RKG pre-ordained BS!There's going to be competition all over the field in camp. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
Yeah why not give Dak his short term wishes. Sign him to a freaking 3 year deal if you need to. We can resign him if he thrives under MM and if he doesn't maybe we can develop this kid or someone else. Not trying to derail the thread, just saying stock piling talent and having options isnt neccesarily a bad thing.
When the Patriots want a late round QB as badly as it sounds like the Patriots wanted him which I believe forced us to draft him rather than risk being able to sign him as a UDFA, you know he's probably a very good QB.
The problem with a short-term deal isn't the length, but the payout. When teams have to pay players a lot of money, they like to do it over a lot of years to spread out the hit. Usually, the first year is fairly low, the second year is quite a bit higher but can be restructured and so on.
A short-term deal gives Dallas no flexibility. If Dak wants a shorter term, he has to take less money to make it work out.
Compact throwing motion. No big wind up.
It’s possible with expanded rosters this season but not likely due to Dak’s durability.
So we stole their next Brady?
Competition brings out the best or worst in people. Lets hope they all get better. I just want to see a better team on the field at the end of the season.Exactly! I like Dak and will cheer him on as long as he wears the star. I just think, if DiNucci beats out Rush, Dak better be prepared for a battle in a few seasons.
Excellent point. I think Rush has shot his bolt and came up short. Just a placeholder now.It wouldn't be for that reason. I think DiNucci will prove to be too good to stash on the Practice Squad. Especially since the Patriots seemed to want him. He'd be too dangerous to let Belichick raid.
He actually gives me Romo and Rodgers vibe instead of a Romo and Dak vibe. He kinda has that Rodgers swagger on the field.Got to admit one of the plays in a tweet in this thread was very Romo-like. I think he's a cross in some ways between Romo and Dak. Like Romo, he scrambles, keeps his eyes downfield and has that quick release. Like Dak, he can take off and gain yards with his feet.
Less guaranteed money you mean? The problem with a short-term deal isn't the length, but the payout. Hopefully without the prima donna attitude. He actually gives me Romo and Rodgers vibe instead of a Romo and Dak vibe. He kinda has that Rodgers swagger on the field.
