It takes a team to win. Dez is the franchise leader in TD receptions, he left no doubt he was worthy of the number.Too soon for what? Dez is history here. They gave the number to Antonio Bryant. CeeDee has way more expectations than Antonio Bryant did. If he is good as we all think, he will definitely be worthy of the number. Far more than Antonio Bryant and probably Dez. Dez didn't win us any championships either....
Yea more nonsense from you
Franchise leader in TD receptions. Pretty amazing considering he “cant even run a full route tree”...
But keep pom-pom waving for everything this franchise does
Still clamoring for dinosaur dez?Not pom-pom waving at all. I think it is stupid to MAKE a player take a number. Jerry Ego driven dribble. Kind of like you still clamoring for dinosaur Dez.
This is a money move by JJ. This is why he is starting to make me sick. Think about it, sell the fans this WR is a top 5 prospect. Hype the whole situation up. Then give him 88;a known respected, historical important jersey #. This is all about JJ trying to line his pocket up.
I agree. And Dez probably would've still picked #88. Lamb had #10 in mind.I agree. Much rather he picked his own number. Like both Bryant’s should have. I get it this time, but moves like these are just completely unnecessary! Why????? Jerry wouldn’t be Jerry!
Incoming brother.
Poison arrows fill the sky around here when you defend Dez.
Actually probably would sell MORE if it wasn't #88 honestly. Some people probably don't want a closet full of #88's.Lamb Jersey would sell no matter what number. This is just another thread for people to complain about Jerry.
Dez is my guy but his last year wasn't ideal. Left a real poor taste in my mouth especially the Seattle game.I don’t care..
Someone should do it..
People want a player that plays for the team and his teammates. Dez cared about the Cowboys more then anyone including people running this thing.
Was he a little rough around the edges and a headache at times? Yeah..
But a lot of the Dez “drama” was fans on this forum being suckers for whatever narrative the media wanted to point them to that day.

He’s the all time leader in TD catches and he went through a slump by his standards when we switched to a young QB and a run 1st offense and now people want to hate him.
Im also not ok with celebrating Witten as he goes out the door and welcoming him right back and then completely shunning Dez and not giving him a 2nd opportunity.
This reminds me of Antonio Bryant. That dude was a BEAST. I know he didn't have a beast of a career. But I remember his rookie year. You left out Antonio Bryant and Jackie Harris...

Yeah I think Lamb is gonna be professional about it. He shouldn't have his number picked for him though. And then to put the pressure of #88 on him....its just dumb all around.True, I think people here will make a bigger deal of this than Lamb himself.
How would it fair a lot better?I agree but to wear the 88 with a "blue chip" prospect will fair a whole lot better. If this was not the case was is JJ forcing 88 on him?
Well now see that's Jerry not having faith in Dak or Romo for that matter lol. Or not seeing them coming anyway. If they were top picks they too would be stuck wearing 8 or 12 or some outdated number.Of course, no player can say no to Jerry. If Jerry wanted Dak to wear 8 or 12 then it would happen...no question about it.
