That is a load of BS, routs do not matter? lol get a clue. Dallas does not lack speed that is the dumbest thing I have heard. Cooper nor Gallup have had any issues of beating their man deep.

In a similar vein, Witten was never fast but he has managed to catch one of the most catches ever, guess his route running wasn't much of a factor...

When Bob Hayes came into the league (and yes I know the game was somewhat different then) he was far and away the fastest receiver in the game, but he didn't blow past everybody and catch like 75 passes and 25 tds a year, teams developed the zone defense and his speed advantage was reduced. Any trait by a receiver can be dealt with, whether it be speed, jumping ability, or even route running.

IF you can find a guy with exceptional speed and route running and pass catching ability, sure you want to grab him. But JJ Nelson isn't that guy, and I don't know of any other receiver that's available is one either...….

Call the Eagles... Im positive they will give us Reagor for CeeDee... Or maybe we could get Xavier Su'a-Filo back and he can be the 3rd wideout you are looking for.... Worst Thread Ever! Just Tuurible.

Cooper and Gallup have both proven they can get behind DBs and make big plays down the field. I’m confident Lamb will as well.

That’s what takes the top off a defense. Fear. Dallas has put huge resources into the WR position this offseason. We’re good here...and we better be.

Oh no, it's not the greatest of posts, but in these days it at least generates discussion....

If speed was the determining factor then Alexander Wright would've been the best WR in Cowboys history .

I agree, getting open and getting a step on a defender makes all the difference in the world. As for Dallas WR we have some very good rout runners in Cooper and Gallup and frankly with Cooper who put up a 4.35 he does not lack speed but what makes him dangerous is the crisp routs he runs. NFL leading WR last year was Michael Thomas who is a 4.55 guy

"Fear will keep the other dteams in line. Fear of this receiver corp. We are now the ultimate power in the passing game. I suggest we use it." ((Well, I mean, I don't really believe we're the ultimate power but I had to finish the Star Wars misquote)

Yeah then there is Tyreek Hill who flys by the DB with or without pads. Pretty much makes the CB play safety position.
If the cowboys had a chance to acquire Tyreek Hill this would be a different conversation. You brought up JJ Nelson, a guy who has 11 catches in his last 16 games, and none of those catches were for 30+ yards.

Replacing Gallup with a pure speed player is probably a good move on Madden, but in the NFL it only hurts this offense.

Dallas has accumulated too many WRs that are lesser clone of each other and really do not compliment the players on the roster fully.

This offense needs true speed and right now just about every team has WRs that runS 4.4 NFL WRs. Dallas should acquire someone like J.J Nelson 4.2 forty time that can blow the top off defense consistently.

Another option is to trade Gallup who really is a #3 with CD in the building and the front office shouldn’t overpay for a consistent ball dropping #3 receiver.

Ah..

the old slight of hand diversion post.

Your last line is your real takeaway.

So you want to trade Gallup?

Why didn't you say so.?

Its weird..this mentality here at times.

For a NY minute we have talent at skill positions which will give us an identity makeover..

and guys want to trade him for a 4.4 guy who can run in a fly pattern thinking that means Championship.

With all due respect..and I truely mean that..not some sucker punch lead..

we need to wait on what you are saying.

Frankly, I do not have faith in Moore to know how to use speed like that.

And until we know Big Mike and he can use Lamb properly as 'slow' as you infer he is..

Nix nada no.

Maybe on 2021.

These guys are already drowning in this pandemic thing.

Jesus Christ..........this is not the time of the year to trade guys. You do not get the most of your value. Gallup, Lamb and Amari have fine speed. You don't need 4.2 speed to be fast.
Agree 100%. If you have several guys with good hands that consistently get seperation, you don’t need 4.2 guys!

Tyreek Hill 58 for 860 yards, TD 7 plays 20+ 11, plays 40+ 6
Gallup 66 for 1,107 yards TD 6 plays 20+ 18 plays of 40+ 5

I am sorry but what are we talking about here? Our WR crew is excellent.

They'll be fine with what they have right now. Maybe when Gallup's rookie contract is up and he gets a huge payday, they can cycle him out for a speed receiver with skills. For now, will have to rely on Devin Smith and the like.

Correct me if im wrong, but doesn't Amari have multiple 60+ yard TD Receptions?? Far as im concerned, if he has shown that he's capable of beating guys deep, who cares about timed speed? CeeDee is fast too and Gallup has shown enough speed to break away from defenders as well. Ill pass on the "speed demons" for solid all around WR's like we currently have any day. How well did Galloway and Ismael work for us??

Remember when it was Dez, Beasley, Williams and Witten.

Every one of them is slower than their counter-part in the current offense and that team went 12-4 and was one of the best offenses in the league.

This receiver group is faster and more talented so I see no reason they can’t succeed.

Who won the SB? Every team in the NFL including the Cowboys would take Hill over Gallup 24/7. The impact Hill has on coverage is on another level to what Gallup could ever imagine to do. Look what happened to Juju when he got exposed after AB left.

Why don't we just trade Lamb (4.5 40 yard dash) to the Eagles for Reagor (4.47 40 yard dash)

It’s a different type of league compared 2014.
