Dallas Cowboys will build upon their #1 total offense with the addition of Cee Dee Lamb. I think they will be even more efficient and lethal based on personnel, play calling and of course the quality of pass defenses they face.

I am not accounting for our 2020 opponents draft or free agent signings, but on the surface, here's where they ranked last season in pass defense:

Game 1: Rams (12th)
Game 2: Falcons (22nd)
Game 3: Seahawks (27th)
Game 4: Browns (7th)
Game 5: Giants (28th)
Game 6: Cards (31st)
Game 7: Skins (18th)
Game 8: Eagles (19th)
Game 9: Steelers (3rd)
Game 10: Vikes (15th)
Game 11: Skins (18th)
Game 12: Ravens (6th)
Game 13: Bengals (21st)
Game 14: 49ers (1st)
Game 15: Eagles (19th)
Game 16: Giants (28th)

I don't wanna jump the gun here but outside of the games vs 49ers, Ravens, Browns (?) and Steelers, Dak should put up some monster numbers. He might even be in the MVP convo.

Thoughts?

If we win the games we are favored in by oddsmakers, we are a 12 win team. You win that many games and put up 4500yds+ and 30TD’s+ you’re gonna be in the convo. The QB of the top two teams of every conference is going to get MVP looks as long as he is one of the engines of the team (Jimmy G was obviously not the engine of that team, the defense was).

With that said, a borderline top 10 qb entering his prime with the best weapons and coaching he’s ever had, coupled with a great work ethic and previous improvement doesn’t regress. I fully expect Dak and the offense to statistically perform. Now if we win the games we are supposed to win then there’s no doubt he’s in the MVP talks.

I can see the divisional opponents having better pass defense this year. Giants n Eagles thru adding a #1 CB and the Skins in adding more pop to their pass rush.

Cowboys will certainly get tested throughout the season. If Dak is in the MVP conversation that means the team is winning, so it would be cool if that happened.

can we just not make every freaking thread about Dak for once,we just need a stickied Dak thread where all Dak haters can vent all day long.

I do expect the offense to be much better based on the idea that we wont run the same plays out of the same formations over and over.

These rankings need to be taken with a grain of salt. They are based on yardage only and bad teams are rarely in prevent as one example.
