Yes, they would be. I've said for years that had Romo come in for the playoffs after Dak went 13-3 in his rookie season that Romo would get the credit for the playoff run. The difference in your hypothetical scenario is even if Dalton were to do that now Dak has already played in three playoff games, going toe to toe with Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson, and outplayed Jared Goff. Wentz has yet to produce anything in the playoffs.

What do you mean “Yes, they would be?”

Super Bowl rings (whether he played or not)
Wentz-1
Dak-0

By this evaluation a 3rd string OG on the Eagles in 2017 was better than Zach Martin. Simply being on the bench while his team won the Super Bowl doesn't make Wentz a Super Bowl winning QB. That was Foles.

This is the truth. Eagles and Rams overpaid, now the Cowboys have to follow suit. Both teams are stupid, but that sets market value. What a joke!

No body wants to overpay Dak but he is still a safer bet. Wentz has injury questions and his own locker room calling him out. Goff's stats dropped a lot since the league adjusted to McVay's schemes. Dak isn't a top five player but neither are Wentz or Goff, for sure.

I was saying those same arguments would be valid if Dak had a great season but didn't play in the playoffs

I don’t believe it for one second. The same folks hanging their hats on this argument would be vigorously defending Dak’s contribution (and rightfully so) to the season in the hypothetical I posed.

Again, folks are trying to equate Garrett’s spot start against Green Bay in 1994 to what Wentz did in 2017 (13 games).

It’s disingenuous and hypocritical.

I can't speak for anyone else but I would feel the same way. Wentz had a great regular season but people give him credit like he won the Super Bowl when he didn't play in the playoffs at all that year.

If "everyone" is paying that price then that is what it's worth. You don't "overpay" if you pay the price "everyone" else is paying.
Maybe I should say I’m not paying USDA Prime prices for USDA Select

That's your prerogative. My grandpa use to call that being thrifty. I call it being a cheapskate or a tightwad. JJ is no tightwad.

Lol KBB is a laughing stock to car enthusiasts. Kbb is more used for generic cars such as camry or civics.
