Who is this year's breakout player:

X Woods-he was thought of last yr as the team's #1 breakout player
Awuzie-I believe if used right, could turn into one of the team's best defensive players
Lewis-he has to prove to the new staff he belongs

Armstrong-it's now or never. The three yr rule, if he doesn't show anything this yr, he will be replaced.

Jarwin-most likely the #1 breakout player this yr, should finally receive starter snaps with Witten gone.

Connor Williams-he is coming off of an acl injury in which he's going to face stiff competition.

Pollard-I believe the last staff didn't use him enough. Is like those old schooled 3rd down backs.

Woods probably not
Armstrong definitely not
Jarwin maybe
Pollard most likely from this group

Jaylon and or LVE might be able to turn it up to near all pro levels under Nolan

I'm hoping Diggs can come in and shine but that might be asking a lot

A. Smith gets my vote

Ceedee and Pollard.

Diggs and Gregory/Aldon on defense.

Jarwin is the obvious choice as he's got clean run to a starting role without competition. I'd like to see what Lewis can do with 800 snaps and I also wouldn't be surprised if Connor McGovern is a starter on the O-line.

Woods will never be good. He is an undersized, under skilled 6th rounder.

Chido thinks he is special. He has terrible technique and zero dawg in him.

I like Lewis and agree. I think he is the best CB on the team and will prove it this year.

Armstrong might not even be a JAG. If Gregory and Smith come back I think he will barely get on the field. He has shown nothing.

I think Jarwin has a real chance to shine. Guy must improve his blocking.

Williams will finish his trip to bust status. I just don’t think he can play in this league. He will have competition and his job is not secure.

I like Pollard a lot. I hope he gets more touches. I would like McCarthy to bring screens back to Dallas and see Pollard get a bunch of them.

I will add one more...LVE. He has the talent. Is he Hollywood like the other knucklehead or does he have the nastiness to be a NFL LB? We will find out this season.

It's going to be interesting to see how Nolan uses both Gregory/Aldon after such a long layoff. Probably will ease them back as more nickel players early on. I believe both will be fa's after the season, so they will be playing for their next contracts and be highly motivated.

-I think many of us are under selling Awuzie. He's has been a productive day 1 plug and play starter. He currently is best DB we have on the roster.
-Connor Williams hasn't been a total bust. A total bust wouldn't be active on game days, certainly wouldn't be a starter. He is better suited in a zone blocking scheme, which they are moving back to and getting away from the man blocking scheme Columbo ran.
-Lewis has to be more consistent, he flashes at times, but other times he completely blows coverages, that Bills game was awfully bad.
-Lve already broke out as a rookie, last year his play dipped and was battling an injury. I expect him to return to his rookie levels of production.

Laugh all you want but my breakout candidate is Trysten Hill. Only it may not be for the Cowboys.

Agree with most of that. Nice job.

Not sure LVEs issue is HWood, it's a legit neck issue. The question is will it be recurring.

My break out player of the year strangely enough is Amari Cooper. No more disappearing on the road. I'm expecting 1,500 yards and 11 TD's. Especially if they line him up in the slot more.

No it isn't Pollard.

Zeke is every coach's dream on 3rd down. Great at receiving and one of the best RBs in pass protection in the league.

Also laughable... folks cried when Zeke came out for a SINGLE snap in a game last year. Pollard came in and fumbled. But ya, let's take snaps from Zeke now.
