If he breaks out of his inconsistent play, wouldn't that make him a breakout player? I mean, you just said he needs to become more consistent.In no universe can Cooper be in the running for breakout player. He’s been by far our best receiver since arriving a year and a half ago. All he needs to do is become more consistent and not disappear every now and then. Battling nagging injuries all last year didn’t help. But, he’s been extremely productive overall.
Doesn't breakout mean, a player is putting the league on notice. That he'll perform on a constantly high level for years to come?
Opinions vary, just like beliefs. But any player that hasn't been consistent can still be considered a breakout player, to me.
Jameis Winston just lead the league in passing yards. But he can still be a breakout player, because he's so inconsistent.
