Soooo glad this has been posted, cuz I was wondering about this particular stat on Dak for what seems like for.......NOT!

QB stats don't mean jack folks only wins do and specifically playoff wins. These Dak lovefest threads are equally amusing and annoying to me.
Does anybody really care how many completions of 30+ yards Staubach or Aikman had in their career? Be honest, did it ever cross your mind before this thread...even once?
Well I seriously doubt it...cuz nobody cares about that crap!
Romo owns most of the Cowboys passing records right now...and...so what?
He broke almost all of the records Staubach/Aikman had except the one's that really mean the most (at least to me)...postseason records.
Has Dak broken any of the Cowboys postseason records so far?

Please list those if there are any right now and then have a nice day. :)

Well at least the op understood the post for what it was...the rest of you little girls can turn off your "somebody said something bad about Dak" radar....lol. I will however, give you all credit for the swiftness in which you all circle the wagon to protect him, it is very impressive

I have no problem critiquing Dak for the things he needs work on. However, with the amount of false things you trolls say you force many of us to set the record straight.

I would do that with any player or coach.

So Dak throws a screen to Zeke, Zeke goes for 40 yards, and Dak gets the credit for a 40 yard completion.

You guys are posting all of these Dak is topnotch stats and for what? Some people are not going to stop bad mouthing Dak until he brings in two Lombardi's. Stats don't count to this crowd.

Where is the proof this happened during the past two seasons (2018 - 2019)?

But...but...but Dak is a dink-n-dunker!?!?

Where have we been told that? :muttley:[/
Using key metrics from PFF’s QB Annual, the analytics show that Prescott was substantially better than Carson Wentz from a clean pocket, produced more positively graded plays, avoided negative plays, was on target more often, had a better adjustedcompletion percentage and was more efficient on third down.

So Elliot tripped over his own ego and the goal line against the Rams. And we don’t score. Why bother LOL

Who said Dak is a dink and dunk QB? I never heard that. If anything I would have said that sometimes Dak looks downfield too much instead of getting rid of the football. He takes some unnecessary sacks.

The Cowboys have to throw the ball downfield because so many teams line up to stop Zeke. This is why I was hoping they could get a a 4.2 guy at WR to force defenses to loosen up a bit.

The gripes I have with Dak, and I am a Dak supporter, are that he takes unnecessary sacks, he is not consistent setting his feet when he throws which hurts his accuracy and he doesn't run enough or make the decision to run quicker. None of these issues are serious enough of consistent enough to make him a bad QB. Dak is a very good QB and good enough to win with this team. I think Dak is more accurate throwing the long ball than Romo ever was. And he is far more durable.
I guess you missed his first 2 seasons when all the haters were saying that. They looked so stupid. Just like now when they say he’s not accurate.

This team sucks at screen passes so that is moot.

Dak wasn't the head coach and doesn't play defense or special teams. Those 3 things were by far the biggest contributors to the 8-8 record last year. And Dak couldn't control any of those things.

Can he control how many TD passes he throws or many yards he gets when he scrambles?
There were 4 games last year where Dak didn't throw for a TD and had less than 300 yards passing and all 4 were Cowboy losses.

Saints - 10-12 L (223 yards passing 1 INT, 7 yards rushing)
Jets - 22-24 L (278 yards passing, 11 yards rushing, 1 TD run with 47 seconds left in the game..ie garbage time)
Pats - 9-13 L (212 yards passing, 1 INT, 4 yards rushing)
Philthy - 9-17 L (265 yards passing, 7 yards rushing...with playoffs on the line)

A TD pass in any of those games and the Cowboys win it...ok maybe not the Philthy game but who knows if we could have with a 2 pt conversion and then OT etc, etc.
In short, win any of those games and the Cowboys make the playoffs with a 9-7 record.

Making the playoffs is the goal...yes?

So now Dak needs to throw for 300 yards in every game? Praytell, of the 12 QBs that made the playoffs last year, how many of them averaged 300 yards passing a game?

Forward all these threads to Jerry and Stephen, they're the only ones that matter.

You have to ask yourself WHY? What is there underneath?

Marcus Spears has been saying what I have been saying since last year. If Prescott is the end all be all, "the franchise QB" WHY has it taken so long????

Think back in time and come up with a similar situation involving the supposed "face of the franchise". You probably can't because it hasn't happened.

You guys can produce millions of these threads, but ask yourself why the front office doesn't feel the same as you on Prescott.

There is something underneath that the public doesn't know. July 15th will be the most interesting date in the Dallas offseason.
