I can’t believe there are fans on here who are ok with this. You think Dak is worth 30/year...fine. But now it seems that some are fine with giving him whatever number he asks for? Why?

What’s the limit here? 55/year? That’s be fine because in 10 years it may be a bargain? 45/year is a stupid figure no matter what side of the Dak fence you’re on. I don’t think Dak is worth what he’s asking but I do realize there’s a floor to what they can offer.

There has to be a ceiling as well.

I swear the only fans that should be ok with this are fans of opposing teams. Jeez.
Read. The. Article.

It's $37 million per year over 5 years vs. $35 million per year (already offered by the Cowboys).

I think his 4 year guarantee ask (100-110 range) is what Dallas is offering for 5 years, but only they know for sure.
I would expect that to be the case. Goff's was 4 years, $134 with $110 guaranteed.

Again, Goff's (and Wentz's) were extensions ON TOP of the remaining two years on their first deals. So in essence, when Goff signed last offseason, he locked himself into a 6 year contract as did Wentz. So that $110M isn't spread over 4 years, it's 6 years.

I would bet on that myself. In all of these negotiations, I haven't seen CAA ask for anything that was on par with Wentz or Goff or even Wilson. Everything appears to be far in excess of anything previously negotiated.

lmao at fans that act like its their money. I dont care either way but in 5 years that will be a bargain
Most fans have one concern and it is overpaying one player and wrecking the salary cap for the entire team. Some fans act like overpaying is no big deal because it is not coming out of their own pockets. Any true fan with common sense should know the consequences of decimating the salary cap with one signing. The QB salaries have gotten out of hand and the league should be placing limits on salaries league wide.

Sydla, I like you too much to watch you do this. This discussion is pointless. I've tried to explain this over and over and it just never does seem to resonate.

Wilson's was four years, $140, $107 guaranteed. Sounds like exactly what Dak is asking for.
