Sign him for whatever, and worry about it later. Screw the Cap...what has it gotten us to have Stephen penny pinching and bragging every year how well we are doing with the Cap...I will answer that...it hasn't done a %&#^^# thing!!!

Do you think certain things have happened over the last year or two where people should realize this by now?

Lolol

To this team and others. most definitely. I'd point anyone not sure to the Texans and Laremy Tunsil. Take a look at that trade - with no extension done at the time - and then see what they ultimately paid him.

And if you think that's good business, get checked.

I've been screaming for Adams since day one (last year) after my buddy from the North mentioned him to me. But, do not trade Gallup! That wouldn't be a wise trade imho.

If you trade Gallup, who do you have if Coop or CD gets hurt? Who is the third receiver? At that point Dez would be better than anything you have on the roster. Would not trade Gallup.
Would you trade Adams straight up for Gallup?

Nope, for picks yes. Not going to miss up a strength of the team. Especially after what I saw during away games last year when we had one receiver disappear, I want all the firepower on O we can get. I want the DC's to say that team is loaded and do not know where to put my best cover guy.

No. I'd love the Cowboys to add Adams. I believe he's the missing link in the D. But NO, I wouldn't trade Gallup.
You also, have failed the test

It’s amazing that Gallup has now become an elite, all-pro in the eyes of the posters here. I bet there are some who wouldn’t trade him for Thomas or Hopkins straight up. It’s crazy.

He’s a fine receiver but we have a WR1 and the best WR in the draft locked up for four years. Lamb was a luxury pick, I’m not arguing his talent, but now that he’s here, we should *hope* that Gallup is WR3 in 2021.

I’m not advocating trading Gallup and would prefer to just use picks, but the fact that he’s now untouchable is insane.

You guys are way too bought in on the FanZone echo chamber.

We have a SS3 starting for us In a secondary thst is the entire team’s weak link.

We took what steps we could to shore it up in the draft and got a mediocre FS in HaHa, but the secondary is still not good. Not good at all.

We have a dynamic, 3WR offense. Why destroy it to build a better defense? There's other, better ways to get Adams. Maybe the test was flawed.

Nope.

Would you trade Gallup for Adams straight up?

It was a simple question.

The most straightforward one could imagine uncomplicated by subjectice values of future picks or salary cap implications.

You're damaging the offense for the defense. FLAWED approach.

I'm a huge Jamal Adams fan and desperate for an upgrade at Safety, but boy do I love me some Michael Gallup. The football evaluator in me says you make that trade without blinking. The Cowboys fan in me doesn't want to see Michael Gallup playing anywhere else.

If lamb were a proven talent I would but seeing as we dont know how well he fits in the nfl yet I just wouldn't be ok with it.

When you're trying to add a final piece to complete your team, you definitely at the same time dont want to go weakening another spot, so you try to avoid including Gallup.

Gallup for Adams straight up is moot because NY cant take only that. The GM would be run out of town.

A 1st round pick is where things start, and since its projected to be low in the round, I think its going to take at least a 3rd also, probably a 3rd and a player in addition to the first.

If they got a 1st, 3rd and Connor Williams most Jet fans would lost their minds at getting only that.

That's why I keep saying what NY would have to get starts getting pricey for Dallas.

Thing is, picks are wild cards. They could be cheap contributors at a high level, or total busts.

People tend to assume by giving up a 1st and a 3rd that you're automatically giving up two high end starters. Not necessarily true.

As far as a guy like Williams, I've given up on him being anything beyond a swing tackle here, and he wont get a second deal, but then again NY isnt stupid.

Bottom line is that's my long winded way of saying this deal doesnt happen until things get ugly between Adams and NY, and that's down the line a bit.
