I heard a rumor about this and did some digging. Found a tweet from last year from the man himself confirming it. Im very excited about this. Hope it has the scope of Civil War and Vietnam.

There is alot of meat there considering how he does his war series. Burns did a masterful job with Civil War and Vietnam in showing those conflicts as building periods of the American character. Those works are great lessons in how we got where we are as a nation. And they give you a very smooth balance of battlefield actions, politics of the time, and society impact. I cant wait to see what he puts out when he goes back to where it all started
