Bradlee Anae during Senior Bowl week: .

It was another fantastic week of Senior Bowl practices as executive director Jim Nagy and company deserve all the credit for a seamless week. While Austin Gayle has you covered with all the
risers and fallers from the week., I’ll be diving into some high-level takeaways from the week that was.
45. Bradlee Anae, Edge, Utah
Anae looked quite easily the most technically sound edge rusher at the Senior Bowl. His hand usage was top notch, but his lack of top-tier athleticism really showed against some of the more athletic tackles. It’s also worrisome that he had only 31 ⅞” arms — a very short number for an NFL edge rusher.

Bradlee Anae, edge rusher, Utah. Anae would not be blocked. After getting in on back-to-back sacks of QB Jalen Hurts in the second quarter, Anae followed that later in the quarter by beating Oregon offensive tackle Calvin Throckmorton with an inside move and hammering Hurts just as he released a downfield pass. The hit affected the throw, causing it to flutter for an easy interception by Ohio State LB Malik Harrison.
"He did a great job," said
Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia, who coached Anae's victorious North squad. "He's really improved. We've gone over a lot of things with him from a pass rush standpoint, from a technique standpoint, and he tried to take all that (to the game). He's got a great gift, a great ability to rush the edge."
Anae picked up another sack in the second half, beating Texas Tech OT Terence Steele to take down Colorado QB Steven Montez.
"He was the first one off the ball every snap for that Utah front," Jeremiah said during the broadcast. "... You see guys who can get off, but can't finish. He finishes, and he did it all week."

Winner: Bradlee Anae, EDGE, Utah
Bradlee Anae dominated Saturday just like he did all season as Utah’s primary edge-rusher. The South team's offensive line couldn't stop Anae’s power, hand use and speed. He came into the week as a Round 2-3 player but moved up the board with continued good play.
Franchises that want a bigger edge-rusher to pair with speed on the outside will have to take a look at the 6'3", 265-pounder's profile. Anae is perfect for a team like the Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens or San Francisco 49ers who want power to pair with speed.
With back-to-back-to-back pressures and two sacks during one stretch in the game, Anae simply took over and couldn’t be stopped. He could be a top-50 player in this year’s draft.

DL Bradlee Anae (6'3 265, Utah) was impressive in team periods. He is so damn quick off the ball, that it puts OL in a constant bind.

EDGE Bradlee Anae, Utah
Anae had big-time production, finishing his career as Utah's all-time sacks leader (30). He had 13 in 2019 and was named a consensus All-American and winner of the Pac-12's Morris Trophy, given to the conference's best defensive lineman. The Hawaii native, who likes to
swim with sharks in his spare time, displayed his excellent technique this week

7. Bradlee Anae, EDGE, Utah
In Saturday’s game,
Bradlee Anae showed why he’s one of the best senior edge rushers in the 2020 NFL Draft. He absolutely destroyed the man in front of him. He finished the game with three sacks. For Anae though, it’s par for the course on a season where he finished with 13 sacks and 14 tackles for a loss, bringing his season total to 16, technically speaking.
He does a great job with his hands especially on counters but he’s improved over the years. In fact,
TDN’s Benjamin Solak marveled at Anae’s explosiveness, bend, hands and finish against potential first-round offensive tackle Austin Jackson this week.
After his Senior Bowl performance, Anae earned himself a move up draft boards. While he doesn’t offer a ton of versatility in terms of scheme, he offers potential as a starter. Anae is a 6-3, 257-pound end ideally suited for 4-3 teams.
He could play around 265 pounds and not lose any speed. In creative schemes, he offers something as a three-tech upfield rusher in sub-package situations. There’s a power element to his game that aids in his ability to anchor against the run. At the very least, he’s an early Day 3 prospect that can help a team improve on defense.
