I doubt Gallimore does anything this year. He iis really weak against the run.

Everyone is going to be super duper amazing in offseason news.

Gallimore's situation at OU didn't do him many favors. He's a straight-line 3 tech gap shooter, and Alex Grinch played him at NT and stunted the D line five hundred trillion times every game. Seriously, he made Marinelli look like a piker. I'm guessing his gameplan was to manufacture pressure with lesser DL talent using motion and let Kenneth Murray clean up all their mistakes in the run game.

But anyway, it's like Chris Simms said on his Youtube video. Look out for the couple snaps a game where Gallimore gets to play downhill and attack a gap - not just playing heads up on the center, not stunting and twisting. He looks like a lot different player.

Even playing in a less than optimal scheme, he still had PFF's highest pass-rushing productivity score in the Big 12, so there's no doubt in my mind that the dude can play.

Anae has advanced technique. He will earn some snaps at DE.

how do you like Bradlee's snap-reps chances vs Gregory, Alden, Crawford, ..and Armstrong ?
Not to mention " if" Jared Jelks and Joe Jackson have their own impressive camp outings .

even if his run defense needs work and shoring up as he grows and develops, if he flashes enough impressive natural interior pass rush,
Gallimore can still help us out in the nickel pass rush packages.

The Cowboys defense was gashed in the run game last season. Gallimore’s ability to disrupt will not allow offensive linemen to reach the second level and put a hat on the Cowboys linebackers.

Should be a *lot* different this year. Add McCoy, Gallimore and Poe. Woods healthy. LVE back.

And as good as he was rushing, Quinn was a *liability* against the run.

These are some of the rave reviews and reports i saw on Bradlee Anae during Senior Bowl week: .

https://www.pff.com/news/draft-senior-bowl-takeaways-2020

It was another fantastic week of Senior Bowl practices as executive director Jim Nagy and company deserve all the credit for a seamless week. While Austin Gayle has you covered with all the risers and fallers from the week., I’ll be diving into some high-level takeaways from the week that was.

45. Bradlee Anae, Edge, Utah
Anae looked quite easily the most technically sound edge rusher at the Senior Bowl. His hand usage was top notch, but his lack of top-tier athleticism really showed against some of the more athletic tackles. It’s also worrisome that he had only 31 ⅞” arms — a very short number for an NFL edge rusher.

Bradlee Anae, edge rusher, Utah. Anae would not be blocked. After getting in on back-to-back sacks of QB Jalen Hurts in the second quarter, Anae followed that later in the quarter by beating Oregon offensive tackle Calvin Throckmorton with an inside move and hammering Hurts just as he released a downfield pass. The hit affected the throw, causing it to flutter for an easy interception by Ohio State LB Malik Harrison.

"He did a great job," said Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia, who coached Anae's victorious North squad. "He's really improved. We've gone over a lot of things with him from a pass rush standpoint, from a technique standpoint, and he tried to take all that (to the game). He's got a great gift, a great ability to rush the edge."

Anae picked up another sack in the second half, beating Texas Tech OT Terence Steele to take down Colorado QB Steven Montez.

"He was the first one off the ball every snap for that Utah front," Jeremiah said during the broadcast. "... You see guys who can get off, but can't finish. He finishes, and he did it all week."

Winner: Bradlee Anae, EDGE, Utah

  1. Bradlee Anae dominated Saturday just like he did all season as Utah’s primary edge-rusher. The South team's offensive line couldn't stop Anae’s power, hand use and speed. He came into the week as a Round 2-3 player but moved up the board with continued good play.

Franchises that want a bigger edge-rusher to pair with speed on the outside will have to take a look at the 6'3", 265-pounder's profile. Anae is perfect for a team like the Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens or San Francisco 49ers who want power to pair with speed.

With back-to-back-to-back pressures and two sacks during one stretch in the game, Anae simply took over and couldn’t be stopped. He could be a top-50 player in this year’s draft.

DL Bradlee Anae (6'3 265, Utah) was impressive in team periods. He is so damn quick off the ball, that it puts OL in a constant bind.

EDGE Bradlee Anae, Utah

Anae had big-time production, finishing his career as Utah's all-time sacks leader (30). He had 13 in 2019 and was named a consensus All-American and winner of the Pac-12's Morris Trophy, given to the conference's best defensive lineman. The Hawaii native, who likes to swim with sharks in his spare time, displayed his excellent technique this week

Stock up: Bradlee Anae, edge, Utah - Anae leads a great week for the pass rushers at the Senior Bowl. Anae recorded two sacks and a quarterback hit (leading to an interception) that effectively put the game away for the North team

7. Bradlee Anae, EDGE, Utah

In Saturday’s game, Bradlee Anae showed why he’s one of the best senior edge rushers in the 2020 NFL Draft. He absolutely destroyed the man in front of him. He finished the game with three sacks. For Anae though, it’s par for the course on a season where he finished with 13 sacks and 14 tackles for a loss, bringing his season total to 16, technically speaking.

He does a great job with his hands especially on counters but he’s improved over the years. In fact, TDN’s Benjamin Solak marveled at Anae’s explosiveness, bend, hands and finish against potential first-round offensive tackle Austin Jackson this week.

After his Senior Bowl performance, Anae earned himself a move up draft boards. While he doesn’t offer a ton of versatility in terms of scheme, he offers potential as a starter. Anae is a 6-3, 257-pound end ideally suited for 4-3 teams.

He could play around 265 pounds and not lose any speed. In creative schemes, he offers something as a three-tech upfield rusher in sub-package situations. There’s a power element to his game that aids in his ability to anchor against the run. At the very least, he’s an early Day 3 prospect that can help a team improve on defense.

t didn’t take long for the Cowboys to retool, though, as they added veterans Gerald McCoy, Dontari Poe, and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix in free agency. During the NFL Draft, Trevon Diggs and Reggie Robinson were selected to bolster the cornerback position. However, Neville Gallimore and Bradlee Anae are both underrated steals who have a great shot at contributing early to the Cowboys front seven.

Gallimore enters the NFL coming off of his best collegiate season in terms of tackles for loss (6.5), sacks (4), and quarterback pressures (32). He’s incredibly fast for 300-pound man as evidence by his 4.79 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine On top of that, he forced five fumbles during his days at Oklahoma, and with new Defensive Coordinator Mike Nolan set to focus turnovers, he fits right in.

What’s most intriguing about Gallimore is his ability to play both the 1-technique and 3-technique. This will lessen the load on McCoy and Poe and keep them fresh while simultaneously providing Gallimore with the much-needed reps he’ll require to be effective. The Cowboys defense was gashed in the run game last season. Gallimore’s ability to disrupt will not allow offensive linemen to reach the second level and put a hat on the Cowboys linebackers.

Gallimore is very quick an will be a star along with Poe and Gerald McCoy . That rotation will be the key to the season and a potential Super Bowl run .

Man got reps, that's something that needs to be considered as a valuable asset.

Not sure I agree. If he is our second-best 1-tech, then I don't have a problem using him in that role some. Depending on what he shows, I'd rather have a rotation of Poe, McCoy and Gallimore at those inside positions then stick someone like Hill out there if he playing like he did last year.

I think the point will be moot, though, as I can't see Gallimore being as good at the 1-tech spot as Antwuan Woods, at least not right now.

If Poe and Woods are both active then Gallimore should not play 1tech.

The problem is that team generally carry 4 DTs on the game day rosters. Maybe with the new 48 man game day roster that will change but there's no guarantee of it.

I believe that will be the case. I don't know, however, whether Gallimore is a better 1-tech than Woods. If he is even on par with Woods but better at rushing the passer, he makes Woods expendable.

Woods is a pretty decent run defender, though, (definitely better than some on here believe).

Totally agree, and while a bit raw, man does have natural strength, size, and agility which cant be coached.
He would have been worthless to Marineli, but will be interesting to see how soon he can transition under Nolan.
He is a green monster.
Nolan, Tomsula, and Lett Im sure are all liking this pick.

Year 1 for rookies is usually long and tough, especially this year without proper offseason program, veterans will have the edge as they know how to prepare for a season. So I don't expect too much from rookies

What's funny watching a replay of the draft is when the Dolphins went on the clock with the 18th pick right after CeeDee became a Cowboy they selected OT Austin Jackson from USC. Then when breaking him down it's mentioned how he struggled against Brad(Bruce)Lee Anae.

Our 5th rounders dominate their 1st rounders.
And to think that Miami was the 1st team Dallas ever beat in a Super Bowl makes it that much better.:hammer:
