What does any team do when they need to find another franchise QB? Whatever that is, that’s the plan. I’m not necessarily in the don’t pay Dak camp. I might say I’m in the don’t pay Dak much more than Goff and Wentz camp. There’s no way to justify going below those two but there also really is no way to justify him wanting more than them. I get the four year thing and am fine with it. If he plays hardball for outrageous money, then The Double D’s it is for this year and begin the search for the next franchise QB next off season. What other plan can there be?

I would be fine with Dalton since he is only at 3 to 7 million.

Still would prefer a deal with Prescott though, but at the right price.

Nothing over 35 million average.

Dalton, he's not elite but he's much better than Dak.
Now rescind the Tag and pick up Griffin DE and whatever stud defensive Fa is still out there.
Dalton will be good for at least 2-3 years and in that time span develop our rook QB or move up in the draft and get a QB.
Paying Dak 30 million Tag cash is a total waste of Cap funds!

Ok, I'll bite. In which areas, and in what ways, is Dalton so much better than Dak? Asking for a friend. Also, you want to spend the money on a Defensive rental or two, who haven't been picked up by any other team yet because they are wanting too much, then give up draft capital to try and find a QB? All while Dalton steers the ship for 2-3 years? Wow... What a plan.

Just curious, for the “Don’t pay Dak” crowd what’s your solution for QB. This year and for the immediate short term. Play Dak on tag? Dalton? Trade? If so who?

Keep in mind that most of the don't pay Dak crowd do not hold him in high regard like the pro Dak crowd. So you're basically asking this question with the mindset that Dak is something special, so what do we do if we don't pay him? That's not what many of the don't pay Dak crowd believes.

If for some reason Dak couldn't play for the Cowboys, do you want to pay Dalton 35M a year because we don't have an immediate alternative? No, right? Many of the don't pay Dak crowd don't think he's that good. So look for a QB like any other team would.

This year either release Dak and play Dalton or let Dak play on the tag... I won’t pretend that Dak’s cap hit this year is going to make any difference at this stage of the game.
Next year spend a day 2 pick on a QB. Look for the same qualities as Dak... middling talent but smart, mature, does well in meeting/classroom and comes from a winner. He’s not handed the job but competes for it.
Always take the temperature of the offensive line, which is the true linchpin of the team. When the offensive line dries up, the team is going to need to transition to a QB with a lot more talent... the kind typically found at the top of the first round.

Dalton is better from accuracy to pocket presence to leading the WR and can throw all types of passes, unlike Dak.
Let's stay with Dak hmmm from 13-3 to 9-7 then 10-6 to 8-8 with one of the best rosters in the NFL on offense.
I know post your Garrett excuse now(Used to be the Linehan excuse) and sell crazy as the only buyers you have are your fellow Dak-Trolls!

We've seen four years of Dak Presscott. Good QBs don't win Super Bowls without elite defenses.
Sometimes you just have to roll the dice and hope you roll a 7.

I prefer rolling lots of 6s and 8s.

Yes we haven’t had a big time defense in years.
