I literally do not care what YOU have to say :laugh::laugh:

But keep on quoting my posts buddy and being in your feelings :laugh::laugh:
And yet you cared enough to respond.

You’re well aware that I’m the guy who keeps emasculating you and embarrassing you on this board. The guy who consistently knocks that paper-thin self-esteem of yours down a notch.

It’s cute that you pretend otherwise.

Very smart move signing Dalton. Pretty much takes away Dak's leverage. He has 3 options at this point. Sign the tag, sign the deal the Cowboys are offering or sit the year. The Cowboys are fine with any of those options. Those we're the options before signing Dalton, but now the Cowboys aren't under the gun to get it done and over pay.

If Dak holds out, every game with Dalton under center will greatly increase Dak's leverage.

I get that he played college ball in Texas and looks like some of y'all's image of a QB but he's just not very good at this point.

Ok, I'll bite. In which areas, and in what ways, is Dalton so much better than Dak? Asking for a friend. Also, you want to spend the money on a Defensive rental or two, who haven't been picked up by any other team yet because they are wanting too much, then give up draft capital to try and find a QB? All while Dalton steers the ship for 2-3 years? Wow... What a plan.

not to mention it’s not like Dalton is going to be 3-7 moving forward as the starter.

Top QBs in NFL, and when they were picked:
Mahommes: 10
Rodgers: 24
Wilson: 75
Brees: 33
Jackson: 32
Watson: 12

I think top QBs are found later than we think. Especially if we think Dak is one.I'm not saying don't pay Dak, but we can certainly find a QB if we finish 7-9.
and the number of QBs picked after 20 that were bad? and the num,ber of QBs that were picked in the top 10 that were bad? Brady was found in the 6th round. he is the goat. so perhaps we should take the approach of selecting QBs in the 6th round......

I bet you that there is a much much much higher percentage of QBs that were picked and ended up as average to bad QBs after the a5th pick, than the ones picked in the top 15. what's your penchant to gamble? what kind of odds you think you have picking later in the draft?

Get ready for "Play Dalton and draft a QB next year."

Let Dak sign the tag. Then trade him. Now we've got extra juice to get a QB next year.
For this year,
Dalton + 30mil more spent on the roster > Dak.
See if Super Cam will sign cheap for a chance to compete with Dalton and Romo 2.

Make the most of Dalton's under market contract by starting him this year. Make the most of our QB Whisperer HC by churning QBs we draft and spending the gobs of money saved on the rest of the team. When we don't have a young cheap one, sign vets to revive their careers or good old guys on their way out.

W/o Dak, signing Brady would have been a thought this year.

The solution is to take a roster that's ready to win now and waste it because the QB we have, that had to endure the Garrett limitations, isnt perfect.

That's beyond stupid.

Yeah sure, I wish Dak Prescott was Peyton Manning, but he isnt.

That doesnt mean you throw him away....and it doesnt mean he has to be in order to win.

It's our best option. Period.

How much you wanna bet Dalton gets 35m+ if he wins a playoff game with any team (us or some other future hypothetical team that takes him after FA next year)? Dak is probably going to have a better career than Dalton and, importantly, more of his career is probably ahead of him than Dalton. We got Dalton for cheap this year, but we got him for 1 year, or he would not have taken so little.

I don't see banking on a day 2 pick as a viable solution. You had the luxury of doing that when you had Romo in place but not with Dalton. It needs to be a top pick. I started saying the Cowboys need to start stockpiling picks before the 2019 draft to prepare to move up for Trevor Lawrence but nobody listened.
The only way you are getting Lawrence is to have the first overall pick in the draft.
And whoever has it isn't giving it up.

I mean its really not that hard. The Dolphins got the guy they wanted all along and they were actually competitive down the stretch of the season. If you have to be bad for a season rather than having an average QB hold you hostage then so be it.

First off the Fins got lucky with Tua. Secondly you think you can tank with this roster and 25 years of no playoff success. Not going to happen.

Just curious, for the “Don’t pay Dak” crowd what’s your solution for QB. This year and for the immediate short term. Play Dak on tag? Dalton? Trade? If so who?
There's really only one alternative. Tank and get another QB.
