Its absolute crap.

Jerry has no choice but to completely cave per usual.

This this will be an essentially fully guaranteed 4 for 150 deal.

Leta wrap our heads around it now.
Yea, it definitely sets Jerry up to cave in to Daks demands.

“The July 15 deadline is a big one for the Cowboys. The price tag may be shocking, but Prescott has a lot of leverage. Dallas can either pay up, or history shows Prescott might not be a Cowboy much longer”

History supports if he ends up playing on Tag we most likely won’t extend him.

Prescott didn’t sign last season. He said I’m betting on myself to have a great season when I do pay me. And then the team went into turmoil. And now he’s going to sign the franchise tag. And he will probably sign a deal before July 15. The only reason why you sign the tags to let his teammates know I’m here. And we don’t need to use the tagging anyone else does season so it works out for everybody except for the We know who they are

The drama continues playing out and hence the speculation.

If Dak plays on the Tag it appears more certain we won’t extend him. Not only this year but beyond.
He could play in the franchise tag for the rest of his career and make more money than if he signs

shucks, if he leaves next year, we would likely sign Dalton and possibly lose in the first rd of the playoffs? Dang, if Dak stayed, wed be guaranteed to at least be 8-8. How will the Cowboys survive. We all know he isnt worth top 4 QB money, so why pay him top 4 qb money?
Good question. I can only imagine Jerry either doesn’t have faith he could find anyone better or Dak has value for the Cowboys off the field as well.

Dak signs his tag and JJ shops him for a 1st or 2nd round pick...Boom .. Done and finally gone. We play Dalton this year with a new HC. We go 7-9...

Some are trolls and just fans of other teams. Wanting to see us fail..

No QB that's been franchise tagged has never re-signed with that team.
This is one reason we shouldve drafted Jordan Love.

So tell me Mr. QB guru...…..…...how many QB's in NFL history have played on the "franchise tag"?

If Jerry was going to do that deal (its actually been Stephen for a long time), why wouldn't he have done it already? Dak would have jumped on that deal at any point of the last 12 months.

Cowboys should *anticipate* this. If Dak ends up on the tag, trade him and roll with Dalton. We've got a starter on the bench *this* year. We shouldn't waste that.
