Dak will be the highest-paid Dallas QB for the same reason that guys like Kirk Cousins got massive contracts - because we are in an era of super-high NFL revenue and super-high caps. You might as well ask why Romo was paid more than Aikman - because Romo played in a later era than Aikman. The cap only goes up, up, up. Quarterback pay goes up, not down.

Dak could have a 40-33 record (one game worse than Romo) and he would still be paid a lot more than Romo. Because professional sports is an inflationary business.

one of those QBs on tat list in Cassell was 11-5 with NE.. so he was HOF caliber? No his TEAM was 11-5 despite him being very average..
