With Chris Simms and Company.

Is this drama finally old news?

I hope so.

I have aged a whole 6 months over it..

and Simms has lost his credibility as a reporter over it lately.

This is a pretty good discussion of what this all means going forward.

Still lots of moving parts here. Seems like Dak wants to lock in his contract against any injury. Interesting.

My ears really perked up when they talked about what the Tag might be in the 3rd year.

Yikes.

Dak signing due to various uncertainties does make sense, but signing in order to protect a tag amount in 2021 is not credible. The deision on Dak will be made this year. No chance it drags out into the 21 season.

So if Dak slipped and fell tomorrow or had an accident in his home gym, he would still get paid? If so, that would definitely be a pretty good reason to sign it now instead of waiting until the end. I wonder how far that goes... what if he was skiing or something?

I believe it would cover any injury football or non.

For sure to guarantee a $67 mil payout?

I would do that.

I also thought I read he has an insurance policy on injury.

Insurance companies will not insure 100% of an income against loss. Used to sell it back when
I was an estate planner. They may go as high as 70%.

So signing his deal now means he can drop his policy. That's a big savings for him.

Now Dak..find a way to dweddel your agent fee and he will be home free.

Wonder how much of Dak's salary has been increased to cover France's commish?

I'm guessing 20% plus. So Dak really is taking less than we all think.

Hmmmm...

:omg:

Probably related to a marketing deal.
