We just had a WR like Tyreek Hill and done nothing with him. Tavon Austin ring a bell?
Pathetic analysis.

Very few of the best WR’s in the history of the game were burners. Most great WR’s are technicians that run great routes to get open. There are loads of burners that were busts because all they had was speed. See Al Davis and the Raiders. In reality quickness is as important as speed. That’s what truly makes Hill so dangerous is his quickness, His speed helps him run away from people but his quickness gets him away in the first place.
You can cover elite speed by bracketing coverage, rolling a safety over top or with an elite CB. Obviously the first two open up other options.
TO, Chris Carter and Jerry Rice all were 4.5 or slower. And yet, the two greatest WRs, perhaps in the history of this game, weren't fast guys. Seems odd....
Jerry Rice was not the only target (John Taylor, Dwight Clark, Roger Craig, Tim Brown .. ), and this comment doesn't make sense anyway because if he was the only receiver he would have had a harder time with double and triple teams. From an era 30 years ago where they were the only target. It also doesn’t change the fact the more speedy WRs are successful than non speedy ones.
there is a lot of players with speed....you need receiving ability...Williams had 4.3 speed. zero hands. zero route running ability. he sucked. we had a guy who ran a 4.19, can't recall his name. but his only game was straight ahead go route.....Hill has speed. but he is also a good WR, with good route running and good hands...that's the killer combination....
Are you really a Cowboys fan?

And it is not accurate that ultra fast guys like Hill are more successful that receivers with more average speed.
Didn’t Deion play WR?
You should learn about Cowboys history instead of being a Mahomes homer.
Right. Being proven is the key, not simply that he is faster.I don’t really get the comparison, but at this point I’d take Hill over CeeDee. He’s a proven commodity, and a very talented one.
You're talking to an irrational human being. Like the one you had a tête-à-tête with earlier in another thread. What in his post indicated he was a Mahomes homer? As for Cowboy history, Bob Hayes retired 45 years ago, and earlier in this thread you were downplaying Rice and Carter by saying they played in a bygone era, and one retired 16 years ago, and the other 18 years ago.
Pathetic analysis.
I'm sick - I think everyone has the capacity for reason despite repeated evidence to the contrary. You're talking to an irrational human being. Like the one you had a tête-à-tête with earlier in another thread.
But I think CeeDee's size and catch radius fits Dak better.I don’t really get the comparison, but at this point I’d take Hill over CeeDee. He’s a proven commodity, and a very talented one.
Oh, you meant to scheme against a fast player, right?I feel like it’s easier to scheme for a fast player than it is to scheme for someone who has elite route running ability and knowledge of reading a defense. Eventually with age, that speed will fade, where someone like Larry Fitzgerald still finds ways to keep playing. Not that it matters, Ceedee hasn’t played a down in the nfl. It’s silly to try and compare them at this point imo
Yes, that’s what I meant hahah sorry!Oh, you meant to scheme against a fast player, right?
