Its been used alot. Its a good stat. Its another tool to judge pass rushers. However its just a small part of how a defense will perform. To say nothing of this supposed 'winning' on the pass rush and somehow still being just 19th in sacks?
Congrats ESPN, you've managed to come up with a totally worthless stat.
IMO defensive tackle has been the biggest failure of this team defensively for the last 10 year. Even more so than safety. The two defensive ends were winning all the time and the DT's were losing every time. There is your 50%.
Garrett, Jones, and McClay get blame for agreeing with bad draft decisions.
Marinelli gets blame for making them.
The perpetrator is more responsible for a crime than an accomplice.

We have been good at duressing the pocket for a few years now. However, outside of some strong showings in 2018, it hasn't lead to a strong overall unit
You will like the Golden Cock. lolGarrett, Jones, and McClay get blame for agreeing with bad draft decisions.

But at least he made him sign a work ethic contract...
Just another example of how stats can be misleading.

Thats your call, but I see the value in it. Win rate and double rate can show who are over rated and under rated pass rushers.I think the stat is trash. It certainly offers zero bearing on teams being good or bad, as illustrated by where the successful teams are 'ranked. Their numbers indict their own numbers credibility. I have to love the irony.
And I wonder what the people who tried to trash Robert Quinn on his way out the door have to say about this stat now?

I dont expect a single stat to be indicative of success or failure of a unit
Just heard on 105 3 the fan RJ choppy quote a stat that said the Cowboys pass rush win rate what's 53% which ranked number one in the league. For those who adore Analytics and stats, by this Marinelli may be owed an apology.

What good is being #1 in a stat like that if you're #19 in sacks?
It correlates with a teams ability to rush the passer. A strong pass rusher doesnt guarentee a strong defense. If anything reliance on a pass rush was one of Marinelli's downfall as a Coordinator.I expect it to have some sort of correlation and clearly this one doesn't. Therefore it's worthless.
