News: Todd Archer: FO Wants Randy Gregory Involved With Team During Reinstatement Process

July’s suck for football news. Global pandemic July’s for football news are worse.

Bottom line is no one knows what Gregory’s status is except for Randy and a select few. The league seems to be iron clad with its non disclosure around suspensions.

Basically just posting this to say that Clarence Hill piece wasn’t necessarily the reality of the situation.

If Dak doesn't come off of the 4 yr deal there really isn't anything they can do. They have to have a longer contract to be creative with the cap.

Oh I get it. I’m just joking about the reports of no communication since March.

Jeez -- you've gotta wonder what "source" he gets his info from!
Is it remotely possible his credibility has just taken a flop?

Leon Lett.......bet a red penny Jerry and Stephen know the source and wouldn't surprise me if they already called his a... in the office. Stephen's response tells you how sensitive it is.

Is this all part of a diabolical scheme, compliments of Mr. Clarence Hill? :omg:
First he'd say stuff to get us thinking one way then turn it around to confuse us??
When in reality, all they were impishly trying to do was keep us concerned to be relevant?! :muttley:

Oh no not at all, I was doubling down on your statement honestly
He hates snark. I respect his one man army against it.
Even uses their weapon against his enemy!

I would follow him into darkness. He is my General.

Seems like this decision is gonna go right up to the start of training camp.

You’d think the league should let Gregory and the team know by then.

If y’all haven’t heard by now Stephen called Clarence after the article and he clarified that the FO did not tell him that but just a source in the organization. Stephen went on to say he still remains hopeful he’ll be back.

Here’s the article:

Here's a perfect example of why when a sportswriter uses "a source" that they are making something up. All of the people in executive positions on NFL teams know that a suspended indefinitely player can not participate in any team functions or be on team property. If they are also injured they can communicate with the medical staff and trainers to get direction on any rehab they may have to do, but they can't "be involved with the organization in some fashion" like this sportswriter wrote. There has been some occasions when the league OKed a player to use a teams facility to just rehab, but not sit in on any meetings or practices and use that facility when other players won't be there using it.
