I hope he does. Of course if that happens we probably can’t afford to sign him.

This will certainly be an interesting season, for many reasons.

I was tempted to start yet another thread, because this is something I haven't seen asked as yet: Now that Dak is playing under the tag, is he going to play it safe and make "business decisions" to avoid getting hurt this year? Is he really going to give his all, in an effort to win a SB, or is he going to be more concerned with not jeopardizing his chances of getting a deal next year to try to make up for the deal he failed to sign?

So does that mean he wasn't focused on winning a SB before now?
I think the añswer to that is yes.

He had to have been distracted by all the circus.

Seeing how they could not agree in this last minute deal..

one would have to assume he has won the major first hurdle towards what he wants.

So what is that?

Probably only another $2 mil or so per year over a 4 year deal.

That is not so much you can't hammer it out.

It's the quarranteed money that is the divider I think.

I wonder the same thing. Last year it seemed he wasn't as willing to run as previous seasons. I hope he lays it all on the line this season, if there is one.

You're right. He'll probably be too rich to sign if we win a SB. But I'm glad to know that it's now on his list of priorities.

I don’t think he will play any different than usual. Yeah he wanted his bag and played hardball. But he doesn’t seem like the kind of guy to half *** it, or be afraid of injury.

I definitely question some aspects of Dak’s talent, but not his work ethic.
