Does Dak really want to be a Dallas Cowboy?

Funny how everyone assumes he wants to be here....What if he is just playing out the string so he can hit free agency? Maybe he doesn't like the pressure of being the QB of America's team. I'm starting to think maybe he just doesn't want to be here after all....and all this posturing is just to save face.

I mean....who would really want to be apart of this circus anyway? We haven't won a Super Bowl in 25 years...so players know as long as Jerry is in control....the chances of him getting it right...are slim.

Comments?

I've asked that question more than once. Dak wasn't even 3 years old the last time the Cowboys played in a championship game, and the same guys are still running the show.

You guys do realize the people on this forum care much more about this than the players right? Honestly, the vast majority could give 2 craps who they are playing for as long as they are getting paid...

as fans many, myself included, routinely get much more upset at losses and when things don’t work out than players do....why you ask? Because to us this is entertainment but to them it’s a paycheck.

Stop taking it so serious , you care more than them.

Yes, that thought has crossed my mind. And judging from the lack of response from Dak, I'm leaning more toward that being the case.

I think he does.

But i don't think he fully realizes just how great he has had it...on offense.
90% of QBs go their whole careers and not have a
  1. top 5 offensive line AND
  2. a top 3 RB. AND
  3. a good WR group
He's had the first two his whole career and the 3rd recently

He has had it made on offense!

Tell me one starting NFL QB that could not have success with that setup.

I just don't think people fully get this.

Like the old saying goes, it takes two to tango. It's entirely possible that Dak has lost his desire to remain a Cowboy. It's also equally as possible that the Cowboys are willing to take their chances of improving upon him. It should prove interesting to see what the future holds for both factions. McCarthy has become accustomed to working with some excellent QBs in the past. He might easily be a factor in the Cowboys plans, as well as their front office.

Why wouldnt he want to be a Cowboy? The offense is bleeding talent that most quarterbacks would dream of having. Plus the lucrative deals / contracts outside of his football contract for just being a Cowboy.

He basically hit the lottery. Now he wants to hit the lottery twice which you can't fault someone for trying

Now just imagine Dalton beats him out during training camp. Oh boy what a circus that will be.

PS
I know it will never happen but you never know.

Nope and that's okay, we don't want him to be a Cowboy either, he's not worthy.
Apparently neither have most of the other players over the past 20+ years, it’s a growing trend. Go to dallas, get coddled by jerry, bend jerry over, sit back and collect pay checks while basking in the glow of Cowboys mediocrity hype.

He grew up wanting to be a Cowboy. He's been one, been there, done that, got the jersey.

He is like every other QB in the league, he wants to be a highly paid QB. Where? That's not important. Every player in the league is a hired gun, just like every other sport with FA.

I wouldn't want to play for this organization after how they handled his contract.....he seems like a good dude though but yeah I'd rather play for the Patriots at 30 million then play for Dallas at 35. I'd rather go to a actual winning culture.

In today’s environment, I’m beginning to care very little. I never thought I’d say this, but I don’t even care if there is a season this year. In the past I could not wait until the season started (even training camp). Now? Blah.

The 2015 Dallas Cowboys (you know, the team prior to Dak arriving) had, a top 3 OL, a top 5 rushing attack, and a WR and TE group as good as the 2016 and 2017 Cowboys...and better than the 2018 WR group.

They even had the same coaching staff to boot. How did those starting NFL QBs do again?
