Don't know Mr. State Farm personally but just know he does not speak to his brother, mom and dad. Are 3 people wrong? Guess kind of like Elizabeth Taylor being married 7 or 8 times, are those husbands the problem or her? So the 7 or 8 guys were wrong and not her? There is a problem somewhere.

But the Broncos didn't win a SB with Peyton throwing the ball proficiently. They won when they put together a stellar defense while Manning was struggling to throw the ball 15 yards downfield.
Come on dude? You are missing my point and that's probably because we are posting on a message board.
From 2012 to 2015, the Broncos were in the mix for a SB every year. They made two and won one of those. Manning himself admitted he was noodle armed the last year.
If you replace Dak with an all world player like Arod, why cant this team be in the mix for a SB berth every year? This is not a knock on Dak but he is not in the same league as even damaged goods Arod.
It's all hypothetical, Jerry has no motivation to make these kinds of moves anymore. The days of trading Walker, trading for Haley, even signing Deion are from a previous generation.
Jerry is fully satisfied, he has been raking in hundreds of millions year over year, HOF, 3 Rings. As long as the Cowboys get the headlines he doesn't care. If we go 3-13 and Fox, ESPN stop talking and SNF stops flexing.. watch out for big changes. Otherwise move along there is nothing to see here.

While I can't stand him myself, from what I've read, the reason his family doesn't talk to him is because he was raised in a very religious household, and he didn't go in that direction.

Right. They actually won the Super Bowl when Manning stopped throwing.
The point I am trying to make is if you have a great QB and great weapons you can be in the mix for a SB berth every year.
We have not had a championship game since January 1996. Please post that on your mirror eveyone.

Yeah because Davante Adams, Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb were bums...Rodgers has had stacked receiving groups his whole career.
Fair point. Maybe I give Arod too much credit.
I think after 25 years of no championship game appearances I was trying to change the narrative, but I guess in Jerry we trust is what my mindset should be.

Denver didn't have to trade for Manning. They just had to pay him. They got somewhat of a discount because of his neck injury and had clauses to get out of the contract had he got injured again. With Rodgers, Dallas would have to trade for him(unless the Packers cut him) and also pay him. Different scenario. And from Green Bay's perspective, they will be stuck with a huge cap hit if they try to trade or release him now. Financially he really isn't available until 2021 unless the Packers decide to eat all that dead money today, which I doubt they would want to do.

I have no clue what he is truly like as a person but as a player he is sublime. Absolutely off the charts phenomenal. There should be no doubt in anyone's mind about that.
Well his family members let it be known how much of a good person he is. And as a player he's getting worse year in and out. He's living on his past accomplishments. Granted, he's still one of the better quarterbacks in the league I'm speaking strictly on giving him #12. He doesn't deserve it. Give him #9.

I know the team keeps 12 out of rotation but it’s still worth pointing out that they officially don’t retire numbers (that’s what the Ring of Honor is for). I think for a player of Aaron’s caliber you would issue the number to him and I’m sure Roger would be fine with it.

In Jerry we trust absolutely nothing. I'm just saying he doesn't deserve #12. Give him any other number.

So we going to sack McCarthy because one of them wont be here for this..... as far as the #12, my personal feeling is I don't ever want to see someone wear it again, to the younger crowd it's probably okay with the majority of them. Roger is SUPER competitive but I think he does actually still live and die with the Cowboys so he probably wouldn't mind as long as we win.

If Dak is asking for crazy money and Jerry let's him walk, we can trade for Rodgers. Would you be ok with him wearing number 12????
Yes

I can’t imagine many others who’s be as deserving to wear #12. I’d of gladly given it to Brady too..

I think the difference isn't as big as it would've been several years ago myself, but this is assuming we can't resign Dak ...... I don't agree with that assumption either.

If it every happens I am sure Roger would personally deliver him the number 12.

Lol. Just stop.
Dak is not better than Rodgers and i will say will never be better. Lets just stop this nonsense.
If it wasn't for Mahomes showing up, Rodgers were considered the most gifted passer of this generation.
I never really saw Prime Marino even though I am in my very early 40's. But its Marino, Mahomes, Rodgers , then guys like Favre, Vick, maybe Cunningham with this crazy arm talent. Yes I know I am missing some guys
