Don’t cut Crawford....you keep him. Having depth is a good problem to have anytime but even more so in a year like this with covid and so much uncertainty. Not to mention it’s not like griffen isn’t without his share of problems -Whose to say him or smith don’t have any off the field issues and we need Crawford.

We will need all the pass rush and run support we need to make life easier for the secondary and rest of the defense

Yawns PFF. Quinn’s burst and bend is superior. Griffen is still a good player, Better vs run.

Incredible how the instant Garrett leaves and MM is the HC that fa’s are motivated to come to Dallas for less to win a title!!!

Not sure it's that. I don't think Garrett was motivated to get these type of players on defense. I think McCarthy has seen what it takes to win and knows he needs more than just a patchwork defense.

Not saying it's all Garrett's fault. Jerry's the GM and it's his job to load the team, but Jerry has shown he'll follow the lead of a strong head coach.

Three of the four are past their prime, but do you realize that every one of the Dallas starting DL has been to a Pro Bowl?

I don't see any reason to cut depth. Injuries happen every year.

Crawford, until it is otherwise proven, is the fourth-best DE on the team and third-best DT.

the reason is you don't pay 8-9 million for a 3rd best DT - to which he'll still be taking snaps away from prize rookie Gallimore.
as a nickel rushing DT.

and you don't pay 8-9 million for a 4th best edge rusher. To which why would we need an a below average edge rusher back at the DE role
with three to four others better than he in that area ?

if i'm needing a 5th vet DT, if anything, i'm depending upon my personnel guy to get the best suitable vet available since he will be
at the back of the depth chart.. or ask Crawford to take a drastic reduced pay cut ..just to be a 4th DT ?

3-4 years ago that would be elite. Now it’s solid. But hey it’s an improvement.

this is without a doubt a top 5 dline.

And with Aldon, Crawford and rookie coming off the bench it’s amazing.

then you have our 3 starting backers behind them and your looking at one of top front 7’s in the game as well.

versatility to boot. If Gregory gets reinstated it gets more stupid.

Lawrence + Quinn = Lawrence + Griffen

The true upgrades must come from the DT’s. Our DT’s were HORRIBLE last year. They allowed Jaylon and LVE to get steamrolled.

conviction, authority, respect, trust from Jerry. All the things Garrett never had. MM picks his coaches that know their ****. And he doesn’t just leave them to handle their side of the ball. He is a real HC. It’s not a process it’s about winning now.

He hasn’t really played DT since 2017.

Because there’s something called Covid-19 . Depth will be huge this season. If Lawrence goes down Crawford is the starting LDE.

then that's the defense taking a huge step backwards if we have to count on Crawford coming in at DE - just for the sake of

You’re going to depend on a guy who hasn’t played since 2015?

trust me when I say this. Crawford is better than you think. He’s a solid LDE, and average Starting RDE. To have that as a backup is a welcomed luxury.

Gallimore is a third-round rookie. For all we know, he could be Willie Blade.

We need four DEs who can play for depth reason. If Anae, Jelks, etc., prove to be better than him there and Hill or Gallimore are better inside, then you cut him,.

Garbage analysis. Griffin is better than Quinn. Griffin and Aldon blow away quinn. Crawford back. Poe And McCoy Destroy the two losers from last year. It’s not even close.
