well sure, but be thankful that there are plenty of people who do like to go to the games!
Why? ......because without them there would be no nfl games, and for sure they would not air on tv.

In the 60's if a home game did not sell out by friday, the game would not air on tv for the local fans. Even if it was a national broadcast.
I think that went on into the 70's.
That is where the owners make their money, so someone has to go.
If there were no NFL games, I'd just have another excuse to ride my Harley or get into the garage and either work on my bike or do some woodworking. I don't feel sorry for an organization that prides itself on 4 hour plus long games filled with commercials and yellow flags. Not to mention over-priced beer and hot dogs. The people that go to games aren't doing me a favor, they are doing the owners a favor. #pointofview.

That is brilliant wording lol implying that with their policy the stadium will be "Safe".
There is no way to make it safe, just safe as possible.
Also in the article it said Gov Abott is allowing 50% at college games, saying I guess that is safe lol.
So Cowboys will be 50% or somewhere close to that.

Kids dont have to wear masks lol , do kids really need to be at the games at all?? If they are too young to wear a mask , they should not be at the game.

Why masks, but not gloves?? So no one is required to wear gloves ? That is incredibly stupid. Doesnt have to be rubber gloves, any type gloves,
would inhibit the spread of any germs. Any positive people at the game will be leaving their C germs on everything they touch.

I am all for allowing fans to the games, but they are just not going about it the right way.
This should really be in the Coronovirus forum so I could respond to this in the level it deserves

As much as I'd love to get out of the house and see a live sports ANYTHING at this point, I don't think I'll be going to any games. I'm not a nervous nelly either, and have been to a few places that others would shy away from. I just size up what they're doing, and if looks safe to me. Yes, good hygiene and wearing masks goes a long way. It's why so few countries that started it early in the year are as in bad shape as us. I think you need 25% max capacity in a stadium environment to start with since mass seating is meant for midgets these days. And I can just see the spit coming out above me as people above and behind me chin strap the mask when they realize they can't cheer worth a crap with a cloth mask covering their vocals.

crowd noise? Dallas at NY...no fans...no noise. NY at Dallas....fans...noise...
When full it’s not noisy so doubt they will make much noise a quarter full
The peanut salesman makes more noise than fans

any unnecessary risk that can potentially screw over the season should like be avoided...it's not like a spattering of fans is going to do much for the experience.

The only people at risk by letting fans in the stadium are the fans. It doesn't place the players, coaches etc at risk. The worse outcome is that they stop allowing fans in.

The people working at the stadium are the ones that are going to come in contact with the most different people. They will be at the highest risk.

We shouldn't see near the crowd of people on the sidelines like there usually is. They should have precautions in place to protect those directly involved with the game.

Not really the worst outcome if people are infected by attendees after the game, which is the primary concern. Are people that will go out into a crowd more or less likely to go other places? Most will go to work or school the following day.

Man, I don't even watch that box except for entertainment, I take my lead from the medical people.

Well then, you better be only leaving the house to get grocery's and when you do leave your house once a week to get them you better be wearing goggles. because...well...you know...medical people. If you aren't then you are just a hypocrite.

Is that stadium deemed an outdoor venue with the roof open?

Children under 10 don't have to mask and anyone eating or drinking. Will anyone be wearing a mask?

That greedy sob is flirting with disaster if an outbreak gets traced back to that crowd and people decided to take the medical advice and not gather in groups get it because he decided to be greedy. What a totally worthless pos he is. Other owners may show the pos up for what he truly is.
Governer Greg Abbott, Executive Order GA-26:

https://gov.texas.gov/uploads/files/press/EO-GA-26_expanded_opening_COVID-19.pdf

9. For purposes of this executive order, facilities with retractable roofs are considered indoor facilities, whether the roof is opened or closed...

Well, I don't go into crowds but I do go to CVS, HEB, liquor stores, Costco, Whole Foods and anyplace I consider necessary to live a relatively normal life. I wear a mask and socially distance as much as possible because I don't like people in my space to begin with, that's been one good thing to come out of this. I am in that target group so it is up to me to protect me. I am all in on reopening....smartly. Texas already tried stupid.

Crowds + pandemic = not a good idea. It's not just the crowd but everywhere they go.

The post I responded to was about hurting the ability to play the season.. not of which you just stated would have any affect on the NFL playing a season.. it could affect the ability to have fans at the game.. which is what I said... and people don't go to work all the time due to illness. Time to move on.

No goggles though? The greatest medical mind of our generation said to. Does he not matter? I totally understand if that's where you drew your line. I drew mine at mask. Everyone has a breaking point. Yours was at goggles mine was at mask. Welcome!

So foolish. Today the eagles announced no fans for at least the opener.

How is the nfl going to allow 1/4th of the nfc east to have fans? Its against competitive balance.

also Tarrant County has as many positive cases of the pmurt Virus as 25 states do....just tarrant county. Seems pretty dangerous.

then again this is the man who makes decisions on where to have training camp based on how much soda he can sell...so in perspective the greed makes sense.
Explain your comment about “Its against competitive balance”. That could mean many different things.

then why have all the competition committee meetings....why have it at all...Just everyone do what you want.

its not called home field advantage, its an unfair advantage. Dallas having more seats than everyone but washington is a home field advantage. This is much different.

Just because some of these states are run by complete whack jobs shouldn't allow a handful of teams to get an advantage.
What does that mean? What gives who an unfair advantage?
