Popsicles can be mean, lol. They rip your lips and tongue up if you get over-anxious licking and sucking on them as they are very frozen-dry and they can give you sinus forehead headaches like you were sliding face first down a glacier.

If you consume a cherry or strawberry popsicle too slow you look like you punched yourself in the mouth.

OK, I lied -- Truthfully, they make me feel cool and fuzzy. Very tasty!

Those I eat only have two grams of sugar per pop! They're healthy!!

Practicing in this Texas heat is no joke. It's far from the "camp cupcake" I've seen suggested by some of our brethren posters here. Heatstroke is a serious health threat that must be constantly monitored by those in charge of training camp. I'm sure the coaches and trainers are doing their due diligence. If popsicles help to keep the players cool then I applaud their inclusion.
