So, what's the verdict?

Is the NFL admitting they have a problem and reinstating Gregory or not?

You guys do know how many players do the same thing Randy is suspended for?

I'm guessing not. But if every player who did it was suspended, there'd be 16 teams worth of players.

This was ridiculous the first time they suspended him..

Get on with it already. Make some progress as a league and let the guy play.

It's not about who's did it........who gets caught (lol)

i saw a report from Tom Downey that August 13th was the ending date for 60 day NFL reinstatement period.

i just don't think NFL league office can be that disorganized and incompetent to be that neglectful of randy Gregory's reinstatement case.
i cannot believe they will be this damn " back-logged" to where they can continue to neglect his process.
i don't like the conspiracy theories but i just don't trust Roger Goodell and his hidden personal agendas.

Plus with the CBA agreement, more NFLPA influence, i would have thought he'd be more due diligent than this.
It's already camp time, and hes' letting this guy fry and sulk on the sidelines.

How do you know they have not? They don't make public comments regarding a player's suspension. It's possible Randy didn't like or disagreed with what he's heard IMO.
This is what Randy has said, and it appears to be true considering the NFLPA reaction , and the fact Randy is still waiting on word as so are the cowboys. Weight of evidence. Now tell me, what evidence do you have to say he has been answered? You can prove nothing from the negation of evidence.

So wait a minute. If this is true, posters have been going on and on for weeks about the league was taking too long with their own process and they actually haven't been all this time? Can't say overreaction is a surprise here but it's Exhibit A of the emotional windbags pumping stuff out 'round these parts.

i don't like the conspiracy theories but i just don't trust Roger Goodell and his hidden personal agendas.

What hidden personal agendas have been documented? I'm guessing none since they are "hidden" but can you say what they "appear" to be?

Its criminal that Aldon Smith is playing football and Gregory isn't.

There is no way to know this without knowing all the facts. I would say there is a lot more going on that we don’t know about. I suspect the team knows or just found out and that’s why they signed Griffin. If they felt Gregory was returning, they don’t make that signing. The whole thing smells fishy to me.

If there is a lot more going on than ok. But the NFL hasn't said anything and Gregory hasn't so I can't just assume there's more going on. So until that is released......I have to continue to believe this is the NFL's incompetence showing.

And I would like to think they'd still sign Griffen even if Gregory was here. You can never have enough pass rushers and its foolish to rely on Gregory and Aldon.

I sure can. My faith in Goodell is very low. Had Gregory been with any other team all this would have already been settled.

For real. The whole thing is fishy and it started when there were reports of Gregory applying for reinstatement back in March (link to story) and then no one knew if he actually did or not. If this Tom Downey report is true then that means Gregory didn't actually apply until mid-June. So if he's whining about being with his teammates with camp going on, that's on him, not the league. What was going on in March, April, and May that he couldn't apply sooner to have the 60-day period wrapped up before training camp?

I just don’t buy it. Gregory or his side isn’t going to release negative info and the league is legally obligated to keep such matters private until a decision is announced. There is something going on that we don’t know. I think the team just found out and that’s why Griffin was signed. They are not expecting Gregory back in my opinion.

CONSPIRACY! theory notwithstanding, can you address the 60-day period just now being over meaning Gregory only applied in mid-June when there were reports he applied in March? All those rants Gregory went on were within the 60-day period. What CONSPIRACY! would there be?

That’s a great point. And what was going on last season when we were told he was going to apply and then fell off the face of the earth. I think he has continued to have issues and tried to apply in March but was hit with additional requirements or negative feedback and delayed it. If his nose was clean this whole time and he did everything the league mandated, then he’d would have been standing next to Smith at practice yesterday. The fact that he wasn’t is on him. I’m not buying some conspiracy about the NFL is out to get him. There are reasons we are where we are with this situation and the most logical explanation is he hasn’t sufficiently cleaned up his act to the league’s satisfaction.

You just posted a conspiracy of your own. The facts are that the nfl hadn't sent him someone to test him this whole time. Supposedly they were going to send someone last weekend but nothing has been said since then.

I guess we'll find out soon if the window is complete. I imagine they'll have a meeting with Gregory and his rep (if they're still talking to each other, lol) and hand down the verdict. I don't think they'll release any gory details but on this board, the CONSPIRACY! will still live. If Gregory gets reinstated then it's "proof" the league was delaying things and Gregory speaking out pressured them to finally rule on the matter. If he gets denied, then it's "proof" the league retaliated against him for speaking out. And of course it's all because he's a Cowboy. Lol.

It's like ****NOT-AN-OFFICIAL-SOURCE*** said, this is all about Roger Goodell and him wanting to stick it to Jerry Jones.
