stephen called dez a distraction that had to be dealt with. doubt he wants dez around dak and zeke due to his explosive personality. call dez passionate all you want, but he sets a bad example for the younger, more impressionable guys. beasley and t.will followed dez around like he was a god. beaz left with a chip on his shoulder. t.will was just happy to be his gilligan (little buddy)

Just sit right back and hear a tale......

Regardless of hypotheticals, Dez has over 70 TDs and it would be immensely difficult to beat DBs in the NFL so consecutively if you weren’t a good WR.
Every player that wasn't on the Super Bowl teams and is no longer a Cowboy becomes underrated after they leave. Always excuses for why they produced or knit pick arguments for why they weren't actually as good as what their production said. Maybe with the exception of Tony and Woodson.

Dez, Ware, Spencer, and Murray come to mind immediately

Thinking Dez wasn't amongst the elite WRs in his prime is absolutely silly lol.

....Dez, ...better get with a team this year. If anything, last chance here. Every year older counts in the NFL.

Dez and ware were elite. But not the other two imo.

Agreed 1000%!
So true.

In his era which is only 5-6 seasons ago..

He was a Top 5 receiver any team would covet.

Now he is just out of a career with his injuries and issues.

Our All Time Cowboy WR has to be accorded our respect...

he has outperformed so many greats for this team.

I will forever wonder what if for him and our team.

I hate how we have this culture of hating our stars past their prime or current stars that have been paid. Dez is arguably the best Cowboys WR of all time, I’ll always have love for him
I dunno, I don't really see any hate towards a player like this. Maybe some hate for the fans overdosing on nostalgia who constantly want to kneecap the present-day team for the sake of honoring the past by saying we should hand out roster spots and coaching spot to every old name they remember fondly, who can no longer earn the spot on the merits.

Dez is currently best suited for a TE spot.
He wants to be a WR but TE would be better suited for his speed.
At the moment Dallas Could offer him A spot to prove he an handle a TE postion in both short routes and Blocking. Which could be his way on this squad. But him as a WR is almost Nill zilch nadda none. Even though we need a 4th guy or 5th or 6th.
Then it would come to price. I for one would be OK with a 2yr 3m per to play TE and possibly PR

Nope not even close and when I say not even close I mean Irvin is a Hall of Famer and the second best receiver of all time who unfortunately has his career cut short by injury, Dez, on the other hand, was cut by the Cowboys then couldn't find work until someone was very desperate to sign him. On top of that Irvin could run any route, Bryant's route tree contains one branch!

Only on CZ is Michael Irvin considered to be the best behind Jerry Rice.

Then again, I’ve seen folks here try and reach for the heavens as to why Michael is better than Jerry so this doesn’t surprise me, smh

Who wants Dez on the roster?
