he's missing the main intangible, Leadership. All the good QB'S are able to inspire others to follow. He hasn't shown that. Now if we didn't have Dalton, I would say lets give him a crack. MM could probably help him some, but I think he is what he always will be.

Id agree with ya, but I don’t have much faith in his development.

His personality has always been his downfall. Whether that means he’s not coachable, arrogant, lacks leadership, etc.. the common denominator is his character. I’ve lived long enough to know.. character rarely changes unless some life altering event happens.

I’m not wishing the worst for the guy, just being realistic. Hopefully Rosen can figure out the equation, but if he doesn’t.. the pay isn’t bad for a career backup QB. Just saying.

agree..at QB its about attitude and character. He just seems kinda like "whatever" is his attitude. Dunno if he actually loves his craft.I think all he loves is what the game might do for him..ie a paycheck. Gotta be more about love of the game and that competitive fire to succeed. He hasn't shown that. Even at college.

this league has been littered with great armed QB's that once they got to the NFL level, stunk it up because they couldn't rely on talent alone. I think Haskins will be another one. He will be a dumpster fire. This league is much more about whats between the ears at QB than anything.

anyone recall Kelly Stouffer? Thats a great example of a highly touted QB that was just a meat head at the NFL level.Big arm, but just never could get the mental part down. Don't think he loved his craft. Much like Rosen. I think thats a great comp.

Aikman also said accuracy couldn't be taught.

Well, I disagree with Aikman here. Taking that quote for face value, Aikman is absolutely wrong. Then again, I believe if Aikman had another chance to say this.. he’d choose another word, like anticipation.

Accuracy most certainly can be taught. Tell a beginner to make a free throw, He prob misses the first attempt. Tell a kid to practice 1k shots, he surely improves his accuracy.

That said.. Yes, hand eye coordination plays a major part in ones development.. what sets folks apart is anticipating the right moment to make the throw. This anticipation is the hardest thing to coach bc it involves the mental makeup of the guy throwing the ball. Coach that all you want.. but it’s the QB that has the timer set to release the ball.
