It says hip issue....you don't miss 4 games to "get into shape".

Well then why were there earlier reports that say he wasnt in shape?

Aaron Donald is a test for anyone, any day.

Not sure that he goes up against the RT much playing inside.

so all the people who said McCarthy is going to win games for Dallas. He will be tested right away. Looks to me like they might be in 3 shootouts in september vs seattle, atlanta and cleveland.

So we are going to find out immediately. There is no one left to blame. All the guys are gone.

So we know what would happen if Garrett's team was missing a starting lineman. The whole line would cave.....McCarthy in week 1 is going to show us how he handles when a top player for his unit is out. I hope its nothing like the past.

He probably wasn't in shape earlier in camp. I'm not saying you are wrong but I just have never heard of a team putting a offensive lineman on IR to get into shape.

I mean that's what Erving was signed for but goodness....far earlier in the season than I thought we'd have to see him.

Didn't Knight play some RT last year do okay for a few games? It sucks Collins is hurt but a healthy Knight or Erving is better than an injured Collins, especially with a hip injury.

First McCoy out for the year and now Collins out for at least 3 games.

This one really hurts.

Makes me feel slightly better that Erving started 8 games for the super bowl champs last year though.

Perfection? Absolutely
To 2016 or 2014? Yes
The rest of the NFL on average? No, not even close

Not suprised. La'el played banged up last year as well

People act like injruies are a cowboy issue but offensive tackle is brutal. Tyron and La'el had injuries last year, both of the other tackles that made pro bowl with Tyron (Armstead and Bakihrati) both played injured. The pro bowl alternate whose right tackle (lane johnson) literally got carted off the field last season.

he played against the jets and to me was fine. he didnt stick out as a problem and I dont remember him getting any penalties.

He also injured himself thursday at practice according to Todd Archer. So Erving may be the starter at LA with Steele as the swing tackle.

He's literally one of the few guys on this roster we can't be without for very long.
