Video: Unofficial Dallas Cowboys Week 1 Depth Chart Revealed

Looking at that safety depth chart screams how poor we are this week if Woods can't play. And although I see a lot of potential in Woods and thought he was real good his first year, he wasn't that good last year. We can call scheme and predictability out as reasons, but he said it himself that it's the players talent that matters most. I do think he has a good year this year and a good career as well. But we are treating the safety position as either him being a stud or we just don't give a ****. Every year there are options in FA and the draft and every year we pick one of the cheapest options out there and get **** play and then do it all over again...sign a damn safety already

All I see is McCarthy throwing feints into the public eye.

I'm not following. This has nothing to do with playing with the depth chart or trying to not give out information. Use that depth chart or any depth chart around or even your own and the safeties look pretty much the same if Woods can't go. Personally I still think it may look different after week one is over and veteran contracts can be entered into without guaranteeing the base salary, but i'm not going down that rabbit hole.

As well you shouldn't.

I think they've got the KR/PR specialists backwards.

Darian Thompson starting. Ugh. Maybe Carr by week 2? He at least started last year.

Tyrone Crawford staring at DE. ***? DE is one of the few positions we're loaded on. What is Griffen doing as a backup? The only reason I saw to keep him was depth as a pass rush DT.

The two young guys at 3T. May mean more about run defense than Nickel. I expect Crawford beats out Gallimore at ET in Nickel, probably Hill too.

Brandon Knight not even getting a look at T? What's up with that? I thought he was pretty decent as a rookie. Should only get better this year. Seems like a waste of a chance to develop a swing T. Definitely needed more than swing interior player, with Biadasz, McGovern, and Williams all available for the next 2 years.

Maybe Terence Steele is just better? Seems unlikely. That would be *two* rookie UDFA OT hits two years in a row.

Unofficial or not, LOL at Tyrone Crawford being a starting DE.

He's basically the Golden Cock all over, granted he's a much better player than that guy ever was.
I will absolutely lose it in the game thread if he starts over griffen

Sticks out like a soar thumb....the first thing I thought was Hybrid Defense

Like I feared......we are going back to a 3-4 defense......:banghead:

Sorry folks...this is a step backwards. The 3-4 defense is dead in the NFL. Offenses have figured out how to scheme defenses out of that formation....and if you stay in it...your @ a disadvantage. You just can't match up w/ the number of WRs....

Calling it now.....Mike Nolan will be one and done in Dallas....

How did you get 3-4 out of Hybrid?

Just want to update this thread by saying that they finally did update the web site here:

https://www.dallascowboys.com/team/depth-chart

It still has all the same mistakes that Fish pointed out. I think the reason lamb is missing is because they have FB listed and empty.

Looks like a computer problem that no one has had the time (or inclination) to solve. No one knows how to change it to remove FB and add WR.
