I thought we would have an unstoppable explosive offense. Nope, pretty much the same as before.
I thought we'd have a whole new explosive pass rush. Nope, still can't get home fast enough.
I thought we had a new coach who wouldn't do stupid stuff when the time came. Nope, FG's are for losers.

I saw was exactly what I've seen from this team for years. A offense that can be very good, at times but can't block at other times. And a defense that can't seem to figure out how to get o the QB in under 5 seconds. And a new HC that doesn't know when to kick a field goal.

Add in the multiple injuries we suffered and I think we're in for a long season.

Emotionally, I want to have the same position you do. But I’m not ready to jump ship yet.

Under Garrett the game would have been out of reach by halftime. We were leading at the half.

The defensive pieces are better than years past, but they are not playing as a cohesive unit. The run defense has me concerned. Might need to trade for another fire plug in the middle. IDK yet.

McCarthy will take over play calling soon if we don’t start winning. Kellen Moore still learning on the job.

There were new formations. I noticed a lot more bunch, more pre-snap movement.

The route tree looked suspect, but hard to tell without the ALL-22.

The execution just wasn't there, and the conservative play calling (so many 1st down runs) leave a lot to be desired and don't line up with the wide open, high-octane offense we were told to expect.

We are just not a good team. O line was terrible last night. Defense was horrific in all aspects. Playcalling on offense was god awful. And of course we beat ourselves with penalties. Which is a 20 year tradition.
"horrific" makes it sound like the world is crumbling down upon us! It wasn't thaaaat bad - the defense played pretty well in the second half especially without the Mike LB.

I do agree though that we have had soooooo many games like last night and end up on the wrong side.

The defense was horrific. They couldn't tackle and they were punched in the face. The fact that rams didn't punt until late in the 3rd quarter is a red flag for me.

Jerry Jones is reaping what he's sowed over the last 20 years.

I've lost hope that he'll figure it out and now I can only hope he'll just quit.

This franchise desperately needs a reset button to clear out all the bad contracts and players that took Jerruh for a ride

I’ve tried to preach this on the forum for years but people can’t comprehend that.

Eli used to quick pass us to death and people would complain about the pass rush.

I agree and don't understand why we can't seem to figure that out? And we never seem to do that to other teams with good pass rushers.

But then what do we really expect from the D?

We aren't exactly blessed with premium draft talent on the D.

We restricted them to 2 field goals, 2 touchdowns and a missed field goal. It's not great but we only conceded 20 points.

Admittedly it wasn't great but their QB got the ball out of his hands within 2.50 seconds on most occasions and they were able to nullify the best part of our D - the pass rush.

Quick passing requires a QB that can make quick reads. Dak will never be that QB.

Quick read Dak gets balls thrown to WR's feet or behind for INTs

He needs a clean pocket and time for plays to develop so he can hit guys 10-15 yards downfield a la his rookie year.

We'll never be able to re-create that for him with so much bad money tied up elsewhere and most definitely won't be able to if they sign him to a longterm deal

They had the ball for over 36 minutes. The defense was bbbbbaaaaaadddddd. And kellen moore sucks. We've spent plenty on defense we just missed everytime.
