The Intangibles of Game 1

There were some intangibles that the Rams had going into that game that helped them win and even then it was only a 3 point margin which is the homefield spread advantage, if that is applicable under these circumstances.

The Rams like their HC and they had a down season just like the Cowboys did so they wanted to play well for him. He also came with a solid game plan to thwart this much heralded but unproven pass rush.

He came with that plan with a QB that had re-dedicated himself according to his teammates.

The QB and OL shared the blame last season for the Rams' poor season and both were on a mission in this game. They vowed to play tougher and did.

They were opening the new 5B NFL palace with no fans in attendance on the Game of the Week but they saw those articles that predicted there would be more Cowboys fans than Rams fans and think that's not an intangible that would fire you up?

And that intangible gave way to the ultimate intangible every team that plays the Cowboys has, a team undeserving of the coverage they receive from the media. The Cowboys, once again and by design, dominated all sports news with the run into the ground coverage of Prescott's contract negotiation. Think every other player in the league doesn't get pissed watching and hearing that? It's the Dallas Cowboys and the rest of the NFL. This was an 8-8 team dominating all sports coverage and none of that was about the game on the field.

Now, the Cowboys have three tangibles in their favor in facing ATL Sunday. They're 0-1, it's the home opener and they will have fans and this team must make amends for their HC's decision to go for a 4th and 3 instead of the conservative FG for a tie. He showed faith in them and they let him down.

I’d argue they had better coaching and greater talent at key positions .

Our weaknesses heading into the game were well noted with our OL and secondary. And it bared out.

This was a winning record team which we have traditionally struggled with in Dak era.

And like last year our offense struggled scoring in all of our losses averaging 17 points a game.

Amd looks like coaching is still an issue . Lol
