The Cowboys continue to be the ugly stepchild of DFW.

This makes 3 trips to the Stanley Cup finals, 2 trips to the World Series, 2 trips to the NBA Finals, and 1 trip to the MLS final....

....since the Cowboys won a divisional round playoff game.

Clinton was president, the internet was a rumor, there was no such thing as a smart phone, and Zeke was in diapers.

We're a better effort from Nelly Cruz in the outfield from all DFW teams lapping the Cowboys. I wonder if Jerry feels any shame.

It was also the first year of eBay and JavaScript, and it was the year they announced the coming format of DVD movies.

So the last time we played in a conference championship, people were renting VHS tapes from Blockbuster

This man scored the winning TD in the last conference championship game (and Super Bowl) the Cowboys played.

in this market nobody cares about the other teams. They are just something to do until football season starts here again. The stars could win the next 3 stanley cup champions in a row and the average person on the street would not even know they exist.

Josh hamilton was 100% right in what he said and everyone here got mad because most here are entitled whiners.

I remember buck showalter back in 06 asking the reporters everyday.."Don't the cowboys have something going on" something to that effect since all the reporters would go cover cowboys mini camp and then training camp and leave covering baseball right in the middle of the season.

I don't live in Dallas, but when the Cowboys were winning, it seems like they were the only Dallas team winning. I hope the natives appreciated them then. When the Cowboys were champs/contenders, nobody put down the Mavs or the Rangers.

Couldn’t care less about MLB, NHL, NBA, or MLS. Junk sports right there.

This thread made me cry, but I’m not sure if it’s tears of laughter or sadness. Lol

Pretty much. Why are we using the success of other DFW teams to take shots at the Cowboys? It’s so crass.

tell that to the stars who thought it was fun to take some shots at Romo on twitter a few years ago. They are a classy bunch over there.

Has nothing to do with the fact the other teams have all exceeded the Cowboys since the days of VHS tapes and America Online saying "You've got mail!"

in one respect you are right. On the other hand if a tree falls in the forest and no one sees it did it really fall?

The cowboys organization is a poorly run football team and an excellent marketing company. After seeing last nights game that won't be changing anytime soon.

When I was growing up in Dallas in the early 90s, the city had a love affair with the Cowboys. We'd learn Cowboys-themed songs in grade school, thousands would show up to Bill Bates' weekly pep rallies, 60k packed Texas Stadium to send the team off to San Francisco for the '92 NFCCG. Yes, they're still the biggest show in town, but it's not the same man. Trust me on this.

Did everybody criticize the Mavericks and Rangers because the Cowboys were good? Just curious because it seems the opposite is true.

Happy for the Stars though. Hope they can win it all.
As a Sharks fan I.....
A) can't stand the Golden Knights :D
B) I am happy for Joe Pavelski. I hope he can finally hold the cup.
