Squeaky wheel gets the grease. All Ramsey does is hold, flop and rattle his mouth.
Sorry to break this to you, but Gallup took off last year to the tune of 1,100 receiving yards. This is Gallup’s third year and that is generally when WR’s take off. He looked like our best WR on Sunday night.
I agree, Gallup looked really good last season. That said, I think he may have looked better Sunday than he did in any game last year, so I also agree with @Aven8 that he's going to take off ....in which case, he's gonna have a Hell of a season.Sorry to break this to you, but Gallup took off last year to the tune of 1,100 receiving yards.
Dinner has already been served, and its a full plate of entrees on this offense, its unfortunate about Jarwin, but lets not let that cloud our judgement, our ability to execute.
We drafted CD this year,,, that has to fill the void as this team transitions into a virtual no TE game play going forward.
CD is a natural stud, but he is a rookie,,, we need the rook to have a quick learning curve in year 1.
Looked to me like Ramsey had his arm somewhat hooked under Gallup's, not to the point of being a penalty, but baiting him into thinking he was gonna grab him, so Gallup was trying to stay separated. Just a thought.Having seen it again I actually think it was offensive PI the way they call it these days. I don't understand why he extended his arm as he didn't need to - he already had him beat.
It's a tough call. I don't agree with it but I think it was offensive PI purely based on how they call it these days if they see it. George Kittle's catch at the end of the first half in the Superbowl got called back for a similar incident although his final push was more pronounced than Gallup's.Looked to me like Ramsey had his arm somewhat hooked under Gallup's, not to the point of being a penalty, but baiting him into thinking he was gonna grab him, so Gallup was trying to stay separated. I know the plays got called back, bit can we just acknowledge that Gallup roasted the highest paid CB in the league? He has a very bright future.
This is why he is one of the best. He knows how to hold and get away with it. They were hand checking and he was holding, he extended his arm some because it was being held up. Then he flopped and got the call. They should have let it go...One thing to note, to those saying Ramsey isn't holding Gallup's arm, that's simply wrong. He's clearly using his left arm to hold back Gallup, but he's trying to do it in a way he won't get called for a penalty. Ramsey is a great and smart player. He knows all the tricks.
Even Collinsworth and their rules expert (Mike Pereira?) seemed very against it being OPI, because there was no extension, which is usually when they call it. It doesn't matter much to me. They probably would've found a way to lose the game anyway, but I disagree that it was OPI.It's a tough call. Yeah, he has gotten rid of some things in his game that would shorten his career. You don't see him take on the tacklers like he use to. He also got rid of the hurdling!Zeke is so good at lowering his pad level. There is no one else in the NFL better at it. He gets non stop flack here about his weight, but I think a lot of it is how he is built and its one of the things that makes him such a stud. His pads are always low and he's always over the balls of his feet instead of back on his heels. If he chooses to, he's gonna be able to play for a long time with that style.
I remember Cooper getting called for OPI a couple times during one game last year. He pushed even less. Once I think it was just air. Extend your arms, and you get called. They should work on pushing off only with their forearms.

I cant believe we have fans who would justify that call. It looks like the routine hand fighting we see literally every damn deep ball. I wont go as far as to say we got screwed over by the league or ignore the blown calls in our favor, but this was another bad call in a very key moment of the game. Its a waste of time to ever celebrate a long play anymore until the dust has settled.
Wasn't Gallup's arm completely extended?Even Collinsworth and their rules expert (Mike Pereira?) seemed very against it being OPI, because there was no extension, which is usually when they call it.
