He didn't beat a single playoff team this year. Dallas doesn't win one-score games. He has no idea what he's seeing pre-snap. His only read is to make a funny hand gesture to Cooper. He can't change coverage or plays at the line of scrimmage other than a route guess for a receiver.

And when he drops back, if the primary guy isn't open, his feet starting shuffling like Fred Flintstone and he either dumps it to Zeke or takes a sack. He has zero confidence in himself to adjust on the fly.

He is a middle of the road $18 million quarterback.
Eye Test :lmao::facepalm::thumbdown::lmao2:

Dak no Confidence to adjust on the fly:lmao2:

Romo was an elite quarterback in a trainwreck franchise who could put the team on his back and win games on many occasions. Dak is entirely dependent on being surrounded by elite talent, and if one or two pieces are missing, he's awful. He needs near perfection around him to be successful.

Romo's arm talent and accuracy don't reside in Dak, and his ability to read coverages pre-snap and during the play were exceptional. Dak doesn't seem to be progressing in that regard whatsoever. Romo made receivers like Austin, Robinson, Hurd, and Beasley effective beyond their actual talent. Dak holds receivers back from their potential.

The difference between the two is night and day. Even before the PI call, Dak was 1 for 7 on 3rd downs for 11 yards. A healthy Romo wins that game Sunday night going away.
Yea, if we flipped QB’s Sunday nite the game isn’t close.

Goff puts up 35 with our offensive talent and Dak maybe 10 with theirs.

The title made me Lol.

There is an infinite amount of excuses that have, are, and will be made for the Messiah by some on this board

Their very identity is tied to Dakota and they would rather have a Lombardi drought than see the anointed one booted for failure to achieve.

We have been seeing this for 5 seasons now

I don't buy into that Top 5 nonsense.

Dak has proven, he's good enough to win

......good enough to beat crap teams but falter on the big stage. 1-2 playoff record.

If he didn’t demand 40 million maybe we could have bought a #1 Defense, which may give him a chance to at least get to the championship game.

The experiment is over. Believe the science

We've seen an unhealthy Romo pull out some wins too...

The question is what would his value really be as a FA or on the trade market? I really don't think he's getting close $40M a year as a FA. I don't even think he gets $30M.
thats why you use the tag that can open all eyes on his true worth and both sides then can come to the middles of the table and strike a more fair deal or you get some nice draft picks for him..its win win really..the DC should have done that this past offseason but i dont think they knew Dak would play this type of hardball negotiation..

Now they have another year to evaluate with MM and all the facts on how this next off season will go..

Hes not a good QB

Average at best. Sadly, his stans are going to learn the hard way.

5-9 in his last 14 games
63%
4248 yds
22Tds
9 int
94 rating
1-6 vs teams that made the 2019 playoffs
In those games, here are his stats:
63%
2154
8tds
8ints
84 rating

Those numbers sadly include all the stat-padding at the end of the Packers and Bills games

Yea Romo didnt have a stellar record against winning teams (teams that made the playoffs that season), but he played significantly better than Dak did in those games

Romo’s last 8-8 season (2013) vs playoff teams:
64%
1853 yds
12 TDs
5 ints
96.33 rating
1-5 record

So its evident Romo actually played well in these games but was let down by a historic woat defense (worst in Cowboys history) and bad coaching.
This was also with a rookie TFred, No Zack Martin and No Zeke
At least you admit Romo wasnt GOD against winning teams like some here. His numbers look very similar to Daks last season with with the 8-8 record. Again proving that the QB isnt solely responsible for W/L. I loved Romo but some of the praise he gets on here is mind blowing. Romo's record against losing teams is 14-28 from 2009-2016. Thats not that great either. This whole winning teams thing is a horrible stat to bring up. Tom Brady without having BB and his genius defensive mind wouldnt have the record he does against winning teams either. Thats why they are winning teams. And i really dont want to hear about the "talent": Difference. Romo had talent around him a lot. Including on defense. (not the year youre talking about) But romo had Prime players who are HOF locks. Witten, Owens, Ware. He also had a decent O Line with Adams, Gurode, and Davis. So this no talent thing is a joke.

And i really dont care how "well" they played against those winning teams. According to everyone here all that matters is the W. Dak played incredible in that Minnesota game last year and we lost.

Fair enough, but you'd agree the Cowboys believe that Dak's Career to date is worth Exclusive Franchise Tag $31.4M and the Cowboys want long term...

..

If he didn’t demand 40 million maybe we could have bought a #1 Defense, which may give him a chance to at least get to the championship game.
Dak never demanded $40M...that is fake news.... content contrived by Dak Haters.

Cowboys want 5 years, Dak wants 4 years

If it wasn’t pi on Gallup how different would all this nonsense be. We did it to Romo and now it’s Dakotas turn.
No this is different, romo was the reason we lost...and I was always fine with it. Dak just dosent pull the trigger. Winners want the ball..

Romo dropped the ball on a field goal. That’s where it started oh yeah and then he went to Mexico during a playoff bye week.

So what? Romo wasn’t boring to watch. Only reason I watch is because of zeke. If zeke wasn’t on this offense the games would be snoozers..

I always thought it was dumb the way Romo was treated dak from what I remember has been pretty consistent statistically and about the same as Romo record wise. I’m not sure what you mean by boring to watch. They move the ball. I guess we could use a bit more no look and behind the back passes? There’s a long road before we get to 8-8. Just sit back and enjoy it. Dak is in a franchise year and you may not have to suffer through him for too much longer. And then maybe we get to be 8-8 under Andy dalton

I hope that Dak will be around for 1 or 2 more sesons... he is no better than Marriota and those type of QBs
