I think Dak is going to play very well this Sunday. Just not sure Dallas will win with this defense and oline. I just think no offseason, no PS games hurt the whole team under a new staff. If things look this way after 4 games we can talk. But right now I’m more concerned about the Oline, TE, and LB.

Everyone here needs to relax on this Romo was incredible against winning team joke. Romo was 14-24 against winning teams from 2009-2016.

Hes not a good QB

Average at best. Sadly, his stans are going to learn the hard way.

5-9 in his last 14 games
63%
4248 yds
22Tds
9 int
94 rating
1-6 vs teams that made the 2019 playoffs
In those games, here are his stats:
63%
2154
8tds
8ints
84 rating

Those numbers sadly include all the stat-padding at the end of the Packers and Bills games

Yea Romo didnt have a stellar record against winning teams (teams that made the playoffs that season), but he played significantly better than Dak did in those games

Romo’s last 8-8 season (2013) vs playoff teams:
64%
1853 yds
12 TDs
5 ints
96.33 rating
1-5 record

So its evident Romo actually played well in these games but was let down by a historic woat defense (worst in Cowboys history) and bad coaching.
This was also with a rookie TFred, No Zack Martin and No Zeke

And Garrett interfering with Callahan and calling plays... Dak has never had Garrett as a play caller.

“They don’t beat good teams with Dak Prescott as their Quarterback.”

It’s same old, same old, Dak doesn’t produce when the pressure is on. His ability to feel pressure or how to step away from it is non-exsistant! He had throws that were awful in the 2nd half and his inability to lead the team to victory in the 4th quarter is the elephant in the room! I’m sick and tired of hearing the same excuses year after year and the non-complacency of the coaches and players is sickening!

If it wasn’t pi on Gallup how different would all this nonsense be. We did it to Romo and now it’s Dakotas turn.

Only 17 points scored with what is supposedly the most potent offense in the league is awful! How about putting up 35 and we won’t have these discussions but the sad fact is that this organization has failed to live up to their potential since #8, # 22 & # 88 (Irvin) left town! That’s a long dry spell!

And all the Dak-stans were laughing before the game when Wentz was sacked 8 times. They thought this offense was going to explode and “lo and behold”, they went back to the same excuses to defend our mediocre QB.

If Dak is mediocre, what does that make Wentz?

Wentz turned the ball over 3 times Sunday on his own end of the field to blow a 17-0 lead against a bad team.
When did he become a cowboy? Who cares about CW.

I don't cater to the idea that Dak is a dud, although, I don't cater to the idea that he's an "elite" QB, either.
I agree with this. My big problem is Dak, a solid QB, demanding elite money. Unless he guides this team to a SB, he's not worth big bucks.

I've been following the Cowboys since their inception in 1960, so, it's not like I'm unfamiliar w/their history.
I've been following the Boys since SB VI.[/QUOTE]

The Dallas FO may or may not be receptive to Dak's demands in the next offseason. We'll see what gives.
SB or bust imo.

I’ve seen Dak better, but no matter what I’ll pass on Doug Gottlieb’s opinion of qb play.

You just said what he was and that isn't good enough. He's Kirk Cousins and Alex Smith level. You get rid of those types of qb's as soon as possible or end up just average for years. See what happened when KC tried to improve and got it right. We need to try also even if we get it wrong. I rather that then staying average at the position for the next 7-8 years.

I didn't stipulate whether I thought he was acceptable or not because I'm not any more 100% certain exactly what he is than our front office is, at this time. We're in the process of determining exactly what he is and what he's not at present, if I'm not mistaken. You might think we're average and you're surely entitled to believe whatever you choose to believe. Let's not get ahead of ourselves, however.

I don't agree that we're average at the position right now but if we are, you might be 100% correct. If we're not, you're wrong in whatever percentage of wrongness happens to apply. I believe that we're in the business of determining Dak's worth this year. What I do know, beyond any doubt, is that I cannot control what the Cowboys' FO brass does any more than you can. We'll see what they decide when the time comes. I hope it pleases us both.

I know. Had Ramsey not put on an act people would be talking about how clutch Dak is under pressure at the end.

We had someone already point to the pass interference call against Gallup as proof that Dak is clutch. Never mind that it was a desperation throw at the end of the game because we were behind. That is the kind of situation you get those kind of calls in and you shouldn't put yourself there in the first place.

We were laughing because the "Carrying a team myth" died on the 4th sack.

Dak, at least "carried" Connor Williams, Steele and Looney out of 2-3 more sacks from Aaron Donald with off script passes and runs...

3 things
1) even if the PI went our way , Dak just didn’t play good enough, and could Have well ended up losing the Game .
2) even if we had won the rams game , Dak’s shortcomings will come back in a game soon . Maybe a more crucial game as we saw last year .
3) romo is superior to Dak in many many aspects and has actually made significant comebacks for rhe cowboys . Dak’s talent level is no anywhere near Romo.
