Not his fault.

Perfect kick by Zuerlein
Perfect job by Goodwin

0% chance that happens again. Imagine if their guy touches the ball early

The epic brain fart that the Atlanta special teams committed at games end by hesitating to recover the ball was a gift from God. We're blessed.

Yes, I'm sure he told them to stand 11 yards away and don't contest a recovery.

My point is, why isn’t the ST coach reminding his players of the rules of the game in that situation? It clearly appears that did not happen.

The Falcons lost a game they had no reason to lose..by making such dumb mistakes especially the onside kick not going after the ball..I thought I couldn’t see a team dumber than the Boys..and Fortunately found 1

The way it looked to me was that the players somehow thought they were not supposed to touch the ball until it went 10 yards. Poor coaching IMO. Players only acted the way they were coached.

Yeah I just don't get it. Even with new players, it's the same old crap. The good news is, it didn't take 3 quarters for the DE's to start playing the PA rollout. Also T. Hill flashed a bit; really good news if he turns out to be worth the 2nd round pick.

It was a crazy kick, and I didn't think it had a chance of making it 10 yards, but how does nobody from ATL jump on it when it starts getting close? It was such a freak play, and I loved it!

Falcons deserved to lose...they had plenty of chances to put the game away but couldn't do it. They won the turnover battle 3-0 (and it can even be 5-0 if you count the failed fake punts) and had great field position after each of those. This should have been a blowout after all of that.

Bad coaching.

Some of our fans were quick to jump on the bandwagon and label Big Mike a bad coach.

Blowing that type of lead. And not making sure your Special Teams know how to handle that situation... THAT is bad coaching!

I just couldn’t imagine how pissed I’d be if it were the cowboys who lost in that way. Whew
Seriously, I truly feel bad for the Falcons fans for having to watch that horrendous, unacceptable display on the onside kick. What a huge break for us, we should not have won this game.

If Atlanta had a full training camp, I don't think that happens. No time for special teams details like this.
Details?! I was aware of the 10 yard rule when I first stared playing in 4th grade and I’m not even exaggerating.

Falcon player should have just batted the ball out of bounds!
