a blindside block “is a foul if a player initiates a block in which he is moving toward or parallel to his own end line and makes forcible contact to his opponent with his helmet, forearm, or shoulder.”
So how do you have a blindside block on the front? This ain't the first time this has happened to Lamb. His first college game had the same thing.
That's actually the only way the nfl will let you block though. Lamb needed to turn back towards the sideline/goal-line and just get in his way.So if Lamb had turned his back to him and then the defender ran into him, that would make it an illegal block in the back (above the waist) based on the rules, right?
You can't block someone towards the line of scrimmage, it was a legit call.

They just need to teach the blockers to scream right before the block so the defender turns his head toward the blockThat's actually the only way the nfl will let you block though. Lamb needed to turn back towards the sideline/goal-line and just get in his way.
