Serious question for Dak haters

There are a lot of you. Question - Is there anything he can do to change your mind? Would a SB win do it? League MVP? NFC Championship? 40 TDs? Anything?

Is it the contract? Is it because he is not Mahomes or Wilson?

Dak haters and fans agree that Dak can be inconsistent with accuracy but I think he adds toughness, running ability and leadership.

Serious question so don’t be nasty. What, if anything, could he do to win you over?
The issue of whether or not Dak is a top 5-10 NFL QB is no longer objectively in question. There is a bias some have against Dak that in my view are not very objective. Having said that, the thing I think many Dak detractors hang their hat on about not liking him is the money issue- thinking he’s not worth $35-39 Mil a year.

But here‘s the reality- All NFL starting QBs that teams want to have long term- are going to be paid a load of cash. The people saying that’s paying too much don’t realize that to have a long term starting QB of even above average ability, costs the most of any one position. You will overpay for that position. It’s a given. And -If not Dak, who? Having a top 10 NFL QB is very expensive.

Dak Prescott is 27 years old and is still getting better. We can win with this guy. He’s literally the least of our problems.

I don't consider myself a hater, but I have to question the mentality of anyone labeling someone a hater just for openly criticising a pet player.

To answer the question I want consistency. I need to see them take care of business vs bad teams but against good teams and defenses I want Dak to not be a reason why we lost. Less taking unnecessary pressures and sacks when there's plenty of space or a lane to utilize. Less constantly throwing behind a receiver or at a DB and hoping the WR just bails him out. If we look predictable can we get some personal adjustments?

Threads like this always happen after a W, but are dead silent after games like last week. No one is saying to be perfect, tired of people bringing that up.

We know who the contenders are, we need to look like contenders in these games and obviously put down the bad teams when we play them.
BS. I started a Dak thread last Monday after we lost. You're a hater and don't have the morals to admit you are wrong. First it was not passing for a lot of yards, then it was accuracy, then it was pocket awareness, note after a all time Cowboys record year and 2 outstanding performances this year you have the audacity to whine about consistency?! Yeah you’rea big time hater.

Dak - Skill wise is good at mostly everything, great at absolutely nothing. I don't consider myself a Dak "hater" but I definitely am not a Dak "jock sniffer' either. I think he has all the abilities to be the winning QB of a Superbowl team. Can he do it by himself like some of the greats? Not only no but hell no. Could he do it similar to how Joe Flaco, Foles, Eli did it...absolutely he could. Now, if we are going to pay him like he is the best QB in the league like he wants. Then this team will spend another decade without a SB. That is probably the biggest complaint that Dak "haters" probably have with him.

LOL....Dak is Dak...when he plays defense with a pulse you will see ineptness at its finest or something similar to the 1st Q of the Atlanta game before injuries set in..
Atlanta has a worse defense than ours..... let's take a look at Dak at mid-season as things might not be sooooo Atlanta as one might say!

Their opinion has been proven wrong.

Dak was mediocre all last season and the first game and a half this season, I wouldn't go creaming my underwear over one half of a game. Next time he fails to show up, you'll disappear again while @PAPPYDOG rags on you.

Personally, I'd love to see Dak go all out for the rest of the year, but I'm not holding my breath. Speaking from experience.

I am not a Dak hater.. In fact I love the kid. I think he will be the third best QB in Cowboys history before he's done. I think what people who criticize him often forget is that he came into the NFL from a high school offense with high school level passing skills. He did not play for some passing/QB guru who equipped him to throw the ball in the NFL. I don't blame Dan Mullen.. Mullen's job was to win games for Miss State not train Dak for the NFL. So he came into the league with far more distance to travel than guys who played for Mike Leach, Cliff Kingsbury and that ilk. That's why he went in the 4th round and was slated to sit and watch behind Romo for two years before ever seeing the field. Unfortunately, (or fortunately depending on how much you hated Romo) Romo got hurt and Dak has had to go through that development and refinement process of his passing skills WHILE being a starter. The net result has been the inconsistency as a passer that we have seen. All that said, this is year five. It's time to show and prove. You have three receivers who can go off for 150 yards at any moment. Even with Jarwin down, Schultz showed me a LOT yesterday. Zeke is Zeke. The line is in a shambles but the kids at tackle held up after a shaky first half. What I like about what I have seen with Dak this year so far is his willingness to stand in there and deliver the ball even with chaos all around him. As athletic as he is I would like for him to run more but he is staying in the pocket and delivering the ball where it needs to be. The accuracy canard is just that. The kid has the highest career completion percentage in team history and it's only going to go up as his master of the pro game evolves. Hit TD/INT ratio is almost 3 to 1. But the QB's job isn't about stats. It's about winning. Dak needs to do whatever it takes to drag this bunch in to the playoffs. Run, pass, hand off to Zeke.. If he gets us into the playoffs sign him and let's do this thing. If he doesn't, franchise him one more year and draft his replacement to start grooming them.

Prescott isn't a top 5 QB, maybe never will be. However he's much more consistent than some here will admit or understand. Wins and loses are a team stat, that being said statistically speaking he's clearly top 6-10 and that should be enough. The issue is that some feel we can simply plug in a high pick in his place and everything will be peachy. It was the same thing with Romo. But yesterday we saw how a Special Teams unit can make a difference. And that's the last game I would bash the guy for a fumble or a couple bad passes. Agenda.

So you are a hater if you think he's not that great? Remember Flacco had games where he looked all pro, so did Eli or McNabb, ECT....don't get carried away

Anyways.....

If he wins the Superbowl, I'd be satisfied. It would satisfy my hunger for at least 3-5 years, then I'll be ready to move on from him again.

I don't believe in him, I don't trust his ability to scan the field properly and I don't trust his accuracy, especially with 15+ yard passes.

Let him win the SB and I wouldn't say a word about dude for another 3-5 years.

Why does that bother you? I don't get this narrative, anyone with an ego wants to get paid.

I am one of the biggest proponents of players getting paid ; I watch the NFL for its players , not the owners ..........But how big is your ego if you're asking for the most money and you're not the top player at your position , much less the league ?

I do think it would take a Super Bowl win and MVP type season. He would then get a pass for the next year, but if he had a few less than great games people would start questioning again.

Hmmm seems to me that like their opinion, yours is just an opinion too.
You took a realistic good question and turned it into a fan bashing occasion so what makes you any better than them?
Consistency against better teams that's what most are looking for. Yesterday was gift wrapped win. Dak played good and showed some heart but that doesn't change what he has been, good against the low end teams average or less against good teams. Lets see what happens against Seattle.
