I agree with you, but to be honest, it sounds great in the first quarter, but by midway through the third, seeing Zeke still coming at you as a defender cannot be something you would look at with any enthusiasm. I know I wouldn't.Seattle's secondary is beat up and they've allowed over 400 yards passing in both games.
They would be thrilled to see Zeke plowing up the gut for 4 yards a pop.
I'm going to bet if the 'Boys go with that strategy of many plays to score and gain TOP, they're going to inevitably make a drive-ending mistake before any TD's.That's how we won that 2014 game against them when we weren't expected to. Our O-line dominated and we ran Murray a lot. The defense was then able to hold its own, not being on the field constantly. Plus, there were a few lucky bounces.
I know it's six years later and we don't have the same line, but can a similar strategy work? Can our offense manage to pig up the time, keeping the ball out of Wilson's hands as much as possible?
I haven't scouted them this year by seeing them play. Is the run defense really good or have teams passed on them instead of running, because they could?Through 2 weeks they are second in the league in run defense.
The Patriots didn’t run much. Cam was their leading rusher but they did hold Sony In check for 2.9 ypc on 7 rushes.I haven't scouted them this year by seeing them play. Is the run defense really good or have teams passed on them instead of running, because they could?
As you indicated, the Cowboys don’t have the same dominance in the O-Line as 2014, and that was a huge key to being able to control time of possession. The offense seems to stagnate these days when going too conservative, and realistically Seattle’s defense is vulnerable. I know a shootout doesn’t seem to favor the Cowboys, but I think putting handcuffs on the offense will be worse. That's how we won that 2014 game against them when we weren't expected to. so obviously running the ball more than usual is the best strategyAnd 32nd in pass defense.

The Seahawks are going to be bent on stopping Zeke. Our defense is going to be challenged keeping Wilson and company out of the endzone. They’re going to be looking to attack our injury riddled secondary. The game is likely to be a duel between Wilson and Dak unless we’re so focused on containing Wilson they gash us with the run all day. We were so focused on stopping Aaron Rodgers last season that Aaron Jones went off for 185 yards in 4 TDs. Seattle would love to keep our offense off the field with the weapons we have at wide receiver.
