-Cannot beat yourselves and expect to beat a quality opponent, especially when your defense just cannot create any turnovers. Dak had two terrible plays in this game that attributed to 14 points. A QB simply cannot throw an interception in his side of the field, prior to half, worst case they get no points, but cannot give up 7 in that fashion. He also gifted wrapped another TD to start the second half. I can care less about all the gaudy passing stats, he hurt his team today, the other QB didn't!

-Special Teams continues to be a major weakness of this team. Two missed . extra points, Polland getting stopped at the 1 that led to a safety. Those 4 points could of made the team only needing a FG to tie.

-Thought Mike Nolan did well with his 2nd half adjustments again. Liked how the OL Coach didn't wait and benched Steele for poor play.

-Probably the worst safety play I was seen in a real long time. I believe that the Cowboys have the worst starting duo in the entire league. Team really needs another high-end CB starter to pair up with Diggs for the future. I think by season's end, Diggs is going to be a star for our defense.

-It's going to be nearly impossible to resign Aldon Smith, 4 sacks in the first 3 games and he wasn't played in several years.

-Shout out to Cedric Wilson, had the game of his life!

Disappointed in today's loss, but it shows that we can legitimately compete against one of the best teams in the conference. Clean up the mental mistakes, get better on special teams and this team has a chance!

I agree. We did a lot better than I thought we would. I just HATED the consistent 3 yards passes we threw there at the end of the game however.

Dak wasn't prefect but he didn't directly give up 14 points, the defense did. Those are just facts. Now if he threw 2 pick sixes, then I'd agree with you, but tell me why we're paying the defense again?

It is called a short field lol.
if you turn the ball over in your own territory , your making it easy for the other team.
Seattle got 2 similar to's in atl game and they got 14 off of those too.

You saw the difference today between a winning QB (Wilson) and someone who just puts up nice numbers (Prescott).

You cant put your defense right back on the field after them getting off. Its demoralizing.

Amazing how expectations have taken a nosedive since before the season started.

.....Pay Earl Thomas, get the guy in here. This is coming from someone who was strongly against it. But those kids at safety are instinct dead out there.

-Our WR’s
-and Metcalf making that dumb touchback mistake.

- Nolan's defense gave up 15 points in the 2nd half ..including yet another deep shot to Metcalf for a TD..and further more yet of these WIDE open, blown coverage 2 point conversion ..so how is that adjusting ?

- Russell brought team back to make the score 38 to 31 .. including an easy last drive TD ..with zero pressure and all day to throw to Metcalf ..and a safety
on Metcalf at that ? ..

Surrendering 39 and 38 points in the last 2 outings is not just mental mistakes ... that's a Monte Kiffin type defense all over again
and morale victories don't show up in the standings ...

I agree with everything you said here are some additional thoughts

1, Dak, like you mentioned is JUST OK.. not the ELITE QB some fools here want him to be
2. Amari, CeeDee, Gallup.. some of them will be gone... wont be able to retain all 3
3. The pass defense i a joke and will be HEAVILY Exploited in games to come
4. Special teams are absurdly awful!

There IS NO way, THIS TEAM, as it currently is, will make a deep playoff run. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a legitimate idiot

You're making it easy for anyone other than the Cowboys offense. They couldn't and can't capitalize on anything given to them......it's a mediocre organization from top to bottom and the on-field product exhibits it. What a joke of a team......thanks PT. Barnum (aka J. Jones) for another train wreck of a team.

Very good post.

Two things i want to say

1. I think we can sign aldon.
2. I dont think Seattle is one of the best teams in the nfc. They are a good team but not one of the best.

Good post. Agree with all of it. I like your thoughtfulness and lack of social media BS complaining. Tip of the hat to you.

Well said. I agree with most of what you said. If I was Jerry I'd be all in on Aldon Smith and try to sign him right now.

It was foolish to give Dlaw and Elliott such big contracts and not Dak first. I can see why Dak doesn't want to give Dallas a discount when they sign Dlaw and Zeke top money. It just sends a bad signal. If Dak leaves for better pastures, gets paid what he wants, we will regret it. Be prepared for another 10 more years of QBs being a revolving door.

I'm not a fan of Nolan. However what can you really do with the crap that was leftover from the previous regime? It will take a year or so to really fix this defense.

Yeah and I want to point out that Cooper had a good game today. He caught the ball and was a factor. I blasted him after the Rams game so I got to give it up for him after playing well today on the road. And he got drilled on that one 3rd down play and he went back into the game. I was happy with our receivers today. Amari played good on the road.
