I am beginning to think Amari is expendable

With the way scoring is up this year, i doubt many teams are need of WR help. Who would have the LB or S we need to give up? In short can't think of one trade partner to get good value in return.

Think someone has forgotten what Amari does for this WR group outside of just catching footballs. Amari also draws the attention of the opponents best CB which allows guys like CeeDee, Gallup, and Shultz to have favorable matchups, exp when Cooper has a safety over the top. Amari consistently beats one-on-one coverage, has a good rapport with Dak, and has already made a few clutch catches this year.

The fact is.. there’s no one on this team that runs routes like Cooper can. Not Gallup. Not Lamb. Not Wilson.. not even close.

How quickly we forget what Amari did for Dak when he was traded to the Cowboys. Classic case of not appreciating what you have until he’s gone.

I strongly disagree with the OP.

This same philosophy applies to zeke. Teams do..in fact...game plan to stop zeke. And just like Amari...other players and parts benefit by it.

Yes, just a week ago I admonished a fellow forumite for suggesting we trade Amari if possible.
Well, I was so indignant that I cut short my trip to the Atlanta Hair Expo & 'Q Competition.

I said unto him: WE ARE ONLY AN INJURY AWAY TO GALLUP OR CD TO SCOURING THE WAIVER WIRES!

But that was yesterday and yesterday, like me ankle muscles, are fleeting.

But ...
As Cedric the Entertainer and Gallup arise, we could seemingly tire of Amari.
And, hot dog! Maybe an Amari value could get us angry dog safeties corners.
Or a middle linebacker.
Blimey! The things I say!
we are stuck with him might as well get what you can from him...theres no trades cuts or benching of guy with that contract..hes here for 2 seasons minimum..unless team is dumb enough to just take him off our hands for maybe a quality S or DB? i doubt they offer even a 7th for that deal he signed..

too bad the draft wasnt before FA.. im not sure the DC would have gave AC that deal

hes still weapon as he draws a lot more defense then you think and Gallup and Ceedee are benefiting.. that is fact he is frustrating the way he ghosts games throughout the season..its why oakland let him go....

I think Amari’s foot is hurt and they’re using him as a decoy.

Seems to be every year with the foot issue. If he's going to be damaged goods every year I would rather keep Gallup and Lamb (if someone offered a high number 1 for Coop or top dline talent).

Can't move him until after next season (If we don't touch his contract).

IM not worried about ti simply replying to the OPs question..

hes still an asset , a frustrating one but he does pull a ton of coverage, dont think Gallup and CeedEE get as many positive plays without AC playing..sort of how the last game went where Cwilson and Brown got more balls late when AC was out.. the coverage shifted to Gallup and Ceedee..

hes still important, overpaid but important..

so other teams KNOW the Facts of his injurys and his huge contract and would give us a #1 , you might wan tto to lesson the alcohol consumption.. lol NOT HAPPENING

I think Gallup is more likely to be trade bait. He's young and cheap and can be a #1. He's not as good as Cooper or Lamb, but he's probably the best trade bait.

How can you say he is not as good as Lamb? What has Lamb shown that makes you think he's better?

i would rather have gallup than cooper....gallup is a stud and only getting better...gallup and ceedee and our new toy cedric wilson..trade cooper for a defensive star defensive back....and save some money probably

I try to not get bogged down with the money part.

Watching the Chiefs last night....I am convinced we have a TERRIBLE blocking problem. It seemed like the chiefs ALWAYS had like at least 5 blockers downfield. Zeke can barely get to the LOS.

That's coaching, and scheme....something Jerry sees no value in.

But he is gonna show everyone....just wait.

ya think dd you not see the reworked line in game shuffling, it happens but KM is also to blame he has issues staying balnced with the play calling, zeke should have been used a lot more inthat game but he went in saying they would go pass heavy and even after the 3-5 -3 type defense was being applied they kept on throwing and it ended up costing us 2 Tos..

Zeke needs a bit more carries early and say to start the 2nd half to get in rhythm, the handoff were few and far between even though it looked like he got 18 carried , they were spread way too far apart.. KM has some in game play calling growing to do as to when to go pass happy but at the same time when to use your bell cow back..

the OL will get fixed but KM as MM in his ear will get better also..KM did this last season where zeke was hot earl and in the 2nd half got 5 carries..makes no sense these are close games and you can still attack with the pass but Zeke and pollard need more carried even in shootout, quality carries not just sporadic use just for kicks carries..

Cooper is expendable. Ceedee will become a #1 WR some time soon. Finding a #3 behind Gallup should not be a problem. But then what happens if they don't sign Gallup? I am not going to let one game by Cedrick Wilson lead me to believe he is some kind of great WR.

thats not onJerry MM and Nolan now have that responsibility, period he changed staffs and still you think the staff are Garett parrot puppets, thats not the case..Injuries, no offseason, new players learning new schemes on defense and ST and circumstance have slowed the progress down, they are doing a pretty good job IMHO despite all the happenings. 2 very close road losses with chance to win at the end..

this will get on track..

You guys are crazy. Cooper is really good. Gallup and Lamb will not look as good without Cooper. It is almost impossible to cover Cooper, Gallup, Lamb, and that makes wilson and schultz look really good.

Dak has thrown for around 1200 yards in 3 games, and you guys want to get rid of our #1 WR.
