When your defense gives up nearly a half of a hundred points to Baker Mayfield, who couldn't even reach 200 yards passing, I don't know how to break it to you.

From what I saw on the TV Broadcast they showed how "Less is More" and compared the low yardage of Staubach and Aikman to Mayfield. Again, the stat that matters is the W , but some fans keep counting yards as if SB was won by total amount of Yds (especially QBs Yds) achieved in a season.

PSA: Reminder, last season Dak ended with almost 5K yds and the team record was 8-8, some see it as a great achievement (he almost breaks the record! whooohoooo!! yay! ), some as the reason why the Team didn't finish 9-7 or 10-6.

I would challenge the manhood of the Dallas defense.

Tank Lawrence needs to be front and back center as does Jaylon.

You guys aren't seeing the pattern though. He is only putting up these points for when it doesn't matter. He can't put then up during the first half. Of course when they are ahead by damn near 30 the defenses get loose and play prevent. Allowing extra yards after the catch.
He's still a good QB just not a top 10 QB.

Any mistake Dak makes is going to be magnified because the defense and special teams don’t have the ability to help out. Dak needs to be perfect.

No. Dak just needs to not turn the ball over repeatedly. Lots of teams are getting shredded just like the Cowboys.

I know he had around 174 yards in the first quarter. He had very few passing yards in the second quarter all the way through midway of the third. He went on a tear in the fourth quarter.

Yep. We were playing our game until two straight turnovers changed it on a dime. 28-14 and it’s a completely different game.

Turnovers have been a huge problem for us . We can’t afford that with our defense.

I really believe without the turnovers we win this game in a shootout despite our defense.

So we have an offense that only starts performing in the second half, when the games are virtually out of sight? Could the second half improvement be due to the opposition letting up.

Lets wait and see when we play a top 10 defense before we start apportioning blame.

But the bottom line will remain that a team with such a bad Defense and O-Line that is at best indifferent and very little CAP space to improve isnt going to succeed even with a $40m QB.

Its not about fault, it's about possible solutions.

This offense is pretty talented, and I don’t think it’s entirely because of the defense letting up. Why would you want the opposing team to comeback? Especially an offense that has shown it can for 3 straight weeks?

furthermore, this offense has put up a lot of points lately and it’s scary what they could do with a decent defense.

50 may not be enough. On the other hand the Cowboys offense gift wrapped every opponent extra points in turnovers every week.

Bottom line the defense gave up 49 points and you're talking about garbage time stats by the QB. Seems you are more interested in justifying Prescott's stats than the team losing while giving up 49 points. 38 points should have been enough.

already said to you the defense sucked if you can't except that well then that's your problem, from there i analyzed the offense..you seem to have an issue with that too, again that's your issue. We had 3 TO this game (should have been more we were lucky) 2 on consecutive possession that gave the browns 14 points and we failed to score a point in quarters 2 and 3 of this game!. We are down 24 going into the 4th and you are suprised with the browns playing back we managed a comeback and Dak threw for some yards? where was that in the 2nd and 3rd quarters....lol, and when we did get close he threw a pick to end the game for us (law of averages says the browns were eventually going to hold on to one of them). If we go into the 4th quarter of this game down 38-28 for example then you can say the offense did there jobs today and it was all on the D but you can't because as bad as the D sucked today (and they did) the offense sucked just as bad being down 38-14 going into the 4th, this is the same story as last year padded stats coming from 4th quarter yards when we are down a ton going into the final quarter of the game

No it wasn't but when it was 14-7 our vaunted offense had consecutive possessions with turnovers one giving the browns a short field, 2nd game in a row the offense had 3 TO and if your being truthfull today our offense should have had a couple more

Dak had 58 passing attempts today. He had 57 attempts last week. Games are being put entirely on him. This is not a formula for winning.
